The company does not offer professional resumes. They pressure you into getting their service and the quality of the product is fundamental. They state in their policy that they will refund you if you are unsatisfied with the service. I had that experience and upon asking for a refund they continued to play games and never refunded my money. I would never use this service again nor refer them to anyone. I recommend researching and finding better-quality resume writers for your projects. This company does not seem professional and is very greedy for money.

If I could give a lower rating, I would! I reached out to Resume Profs in late September 2023. I was asked to provide a copy of my current resume for review with the implied task that it would be rewitten to increase my chances of getting hired. To make a long story short, my resume was cut and pasted onto a word template and sent back to me. Not only did they cut and paste my original resume bullets, they didn’t have the decency or apptitude to create a new document. They seriously cut and pasted my information onto another person’s resume and renamed it! Needless to say, the incompetence was captured on an ATS! Yes, I had somehow become a cruise attendant! Sid Meng, Jeff Ferrell, Mike Smith, and Joe Smith, DO BETTER! It is now Dec 5th, and I am still trying to get my refund! I have been getting the run around for the last 2 months with promises that I will receive my refund in 24-48 hours or the next 4-5 days that it takes to process you refund! Yes, I will be reortin this to the BBB. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

I previously wrote about my unsatisfactory experience with this company, specifically regarding their lack of professional service and my ongoing struggle to receive a refund. It has now been over two weeks since my last update, and disappointingly, there has been no progress on their end. In an unexpected turn of events, the company asked me to remove my review, suggesting that doing so would expedite the refund process. This has happened once before too. This request raises serious concerns about their business ethics and transparency. Not only does this practice seem highly unprofessional, but it also borders on being potentially illegal, as it manipulates customer feedback for their benefit. Despite agreeing to their terms of removing my first review in hopes of resolving this issue, the refund is still pending. It's been a lengthy and frustrating journey, with the company giving me the runaround every step of the way. Their customer service continues to be non-responsive and evasive, providing no concrete answers or solutions. This experience has been more than just an inconvenience; it's a cautionary tale for anyone considering using their services. The lack of accountability and professionalism shown by this company is alarming. I can only imagine how many others might have been similarly affected and potentially silenced. I strongly advise against using this company's services. Their approach to handling customer concerns and their unethical practices in managing reviews are major red flags. Potential customers should be wary of engaging with a business that operates in such a deceptive and unprofessional manner.

I would proceed with caution. The services for my resume didn’t live up to expectations, and arrived later than promised. My LinkedIn profile was never completed. When asking them to honor their guarantee and to give my money back, the runaround began. They falsely claimed the refund was issued and blamed my bank for not processing, but couldn’t provide any proof of this transaction being processed on their end. I had high expectations coming across their website, but was highly disappointed with every aspect of working with them. I would absolutely proceed with caution if you are going to do business with them. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company since they aren’t honoring their guarantee.

Absolute trash. Don't be fooled by their "money back guarantee"-- you'll never get that money back, guaranteed. I hired Resume Profs in July 2020. I worked with Jay Miller. I was extremely disappointed with the first draft, the graphics were awful, the wording was worse. It did not align at all to the positions I was requesting. I requested a second draft, and almost no changes were made. At this time, I said I did not want to continue with the cover letter and wanted a refund. For months, all the way til April 2021, I was given the run around, to their 'finance' manager Gary Brent, and other service reps various Resume Profs employees Alex Wilson, Ethan Gallagher, and Justin Boyle. I was given fake refund confirmation numbers, and told refund was 'pending' to my card. I'm honestly more disappointed in the big waste of time to correspond with them than the service itself. They're a fraudulent, low quality business. I was recently emailed by a Jeff Farrell of their updated services and 'money back guarantee' and it reminded me that, to this day, 2+ years later, I still never got a refund. I'm sure you see some positive reviews here. Maybe they're just starting off, and their first resume, and would be happy with any result. Maybe they're fake reviews. Trust me you're better off elsewhere and not risking your hard earned money here. I don't want people to go through what I went through on this, because I'm sure you'll be disappointed with the results and fraudulent follow up as I was. Don't use them. Go somewhere else and avoid the frustration and disappointment. UPDATE 2/9/23: On the day I wrote this review, I received a call from a Steve at ResumeProfs. He said that my review would 'hurt' his business, and asked that I take it down, and he would 'try' to get me a refund. I told him I was hurt for months, now years, on end of never receiving a refund and getting fake claims that I would get one, and wasn't falling for it again. I wouldn't be surprised if they make this kind of call to many of their reviews. They replied to my review on 2/14- they have my email information and order number, and detailed email log, and obviously still have my phone number. If they actually wanted to resolve my grievance they know what to do to make this right. Unless you want to go through this kind of thing yourself, do not hire. UPDATE 12/12/23: Received email from TrustPilot saying that ResumeProfs is requesting my Order # to verify my review. My original Invoice # was RP-15704. Again, nearly 4 years later, no refund was ever received. There is no 'money back guarantee.' Just use an AI Resume site instead- way more effective, and no headaches. Resume Profs is a scam and not trustworthy. They should be shut down.

You will get a basic resume and they tell you to give them 5 stars to give you a discount. If you're looking for a professional resume I don't recommend here.

Avoid, total scam. Never received promised phone consultation. Days later than promised, I had to "remind" them to send my first draft, after the deadline for job had passed. Got a shotty, poor English, bad grammar, cut and paste of what I provided them. Nothing professional about it.Total crap. Do not believe the money back guarantee either. All you get is the cat & mouse runaround. Everything in the negative reviews is exactly what I experienced.

Horrible customer experience, was called an idiot and argued with on the phone when asking about a refund due to a terribly written resume.
