Rates are based on real-time availability and market conditions, and pricing can vary between booking platforms and even day to day on the same platform. Hi Jim, we're sorry to hear you were unhappy with your booking experience. Reservations Portal is not affiliated with any hotel, and we do not clone or mirror hotel websites. Our site states "Reservations Portal is an independent travel network" in a banner at the very top of every page, again in the date selection window when you begin a search, and again on the checkout page. Our own branding, logo, and company name appear throughout the booking process. Regarding the refund: the rate you selected was labeled non-refundable before you entered any payment information. The cancellation terms for that rate were displayed on the checkout page, directly above the payment button, and completing the purchase required acknowledging those terms. Non-refundable rates are priced as such specifically because they cannot be cancelled, which is standard across the travel industry.
