Believe it or not, they paid Google to hide the negative reviews from others in Google maps and only the person who posted can see the reviews. Do NOT buy services from Republic. They do NOT care about your needs. They only care about their business and MONEY and do whatever they want to do without considering your requests. They are a bully in the area. Selfish company. The customer service is RUDE. They don’t help solve your problem. Instead, they are impatient and just make some excuses to hang up the phone. They never call back when promised. They do not take the responsibility but kick it to someone else as a soccer. I would give negative stars if there is an option. BTW, they made a loud noise in the early morning like at 2 or 3 am, bothering the neighborhood and refused to change schedule.

I was a customer of Republic Services in the New Windsor area. In the beginning, the service was decent, but over time I discovered multiple hidden fees that were never clearly communicated. My bill increased from about $90 to $230 per quarter without explanation. When I decided to discontinue service, I was told there was a termination fee. I requested proof of an agreement showing that I had consented to the termination fee, but instead of providing documentation, they sent a demand letter stating I must pay or they would send the account to collections. Overall, my experience with Republic Services was disappointing — unexpected charges, poor communication, and unhelpful customer service. I do not recommend Republic Services.

I have used Republic Services in both residential and commercial settings. I cancelled residential service because the drivers would constantly miss pick ups and getting it fixed on the phone was always a 45-minute ordeal. On the commercial side they use deceptive and unethical business practices to increase profits and trap customers. You may agree to a year contract for dumpster service for a certain price. However, during the year the pricing will increase. Most people are busy and think it must just be an overage charge and pay the bill. Unfortunately, the fine print of the contract says that if you pay the bill you have agreed to the new amount. What is worse, you call to cancel, and they say sure no problem, but do not tell you that you have to send the cancellation to a specific email 60 days before the year end. If you do not cancel in a specific way the contract automatically continues for another year. If you try to cancel after it renews, they say you are responsible for a hefty contract cancellation fee. Horrible unethical company. DO NOT USE!!

Terrible company. Prices are out of control, missed pickups on multiple occasions, difficult to cancel. They even charged a credit card after I removed all cards and turned off auto pay. If there is another option use them.

I’d like to share my experience. I had a very poor customer service experience with my previous sales rep, Alice. For almost a year, she was giving me a hard time: I kept getting charges that weren’t even mine. They were picking up the wrong trash, serving other addresses, and billing me for it. It was frustrating and stressful, and I was on the verge of leaving the company after being with them for about 15 years. But then Angie became my sales rep in Sacramento, and she completely turned things around. Angie sorted out all the issues, made sure I no longer got incorrect charges, and for the past year, I’ve had a great experience with no headaches. I really appreciate her professionalism and knowledge. I’d recommend hiring more people like Angie who truly understand their job. Thanks to her, I stayed with the company, and everything is smooth now. Thanks a lot!

I ordered a 30-yard bin for renovations for my house. Ordering wasn't an issue and went smooth. The morning of the delivery I called to see what time the bin would be delivered, and they informed me the cancel order. The lady said she had record that they notified me via telephone that it was cancelled which never happened. I then asked about my refund as they did not refund me the 600 dollars I had prepaid, and she related she would authorize the refund. Pretty bad they lie about notifying their customers about a cancelled order and don't refund the money until you call in and inquire / complain. If I had another waste service in my area, I would definitely switch.

If I could give zero I would. Customer service is waiting for an hour to actually get a human. This is the ONLY way you can cancel your service. Even after that they wouldn’t cancel (said my husband had to call). Reason to never do autopsy with these companies. Luckily I didn’t. Horrible customer service.
