Hey Valerie! We’re super happy that your two Great Pyrenees are enjoying the Bark Box! We recommend giving the rib bones raw and uncooked because cooked bones can become brittle and may splinter. Please supervise them while they’re enjoying a bone and take it away once it becomes small enough to swallow. Since your pups tend to eat the entire bone, we also recommend checking with your veterinarian about what is safest for them. Having you and your pups with us is such a blessing! Hi Amy! Thank you so much for taking the time out to provide your feedback! We really appreciate that! We’re so happy to hear you were pleased with the meat and so sorry about the issue with your packaging. Unfortunately, we do realize this happens from time to time and I’m very sorry about that. That’s why inside your box we place a paper called “Good Things to Know” with some very important information about your products when they arrive. We also have this stated on our website under our FAQ section. The issue you had is one of them listed. During the shipping process, our boxes can take quite a beating. The frozen meat moves around, especially as the dry ice starts to dissipate. The packaging can become very hard and brittle at times due to the extreme cold temperatures inside the box and with the extreme movement of the boxes, the packages rub against each other which can cause micro holes, tears or damage to occur. Please know that we do carefully examine each package before placing into a box and would never place a package that has any damage or a broken seal inside the box. This only happens during transit. It is still completely safe to eat and in no way will degrade the taste or quality of the meat and does not need to be discarded. This is why on the “Good Things to Know” paper, we state to make sure and place a plate underneath your meat when thawing. Again, I’m very sorry about that Amy. We don’t like it when this happens either but it’s extremely hard to ship frozen products with the amount of abuse the box goes through before it reaches the customer. We are so grateful for your support for our small family farms and regenerative agriculture. Thank you so much!!🙏🏻🥰
