Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re happy you were overall pleased and so sorry about the leaking packages and your concern with the filet. Inside each box, we include a paper called “Good Things to Know” with important information about your products when they arrive. One of the things we explain is that the packaging can become brittle from the extreme cold and develop small holes as the frozen products move against each other during transit. For this reason, we recommend placing a plate underneath the meat while thawing to catch any leaks. We’re very sorry for the mess this caused! We support small family owned processors who hand cut our steaks, so there can be some variation in shape and appearance. We would love for you to reach out with a photo of the filet so we can better understand what you received. Thank you for supporting our small family farms and regenerative agriculture. We’re so happy to hear you were pleased with the meat and so sorry about the issue with your packaging. Unfortunately, we do realize this happens from time to time and I’m very sorry about that. That’s why inside your box we place a paper called “Good Things to Know” with some very important information about your products when they arrive. We also have this stated on our website under our FAQ section. The issue you had is one of them listed. During the shipping process, our boxes can take quite a beating. The frozen meat moves around, especially as the dry ice starts to dissipate. The packaging can become very hard and brittle at times due to the extreme cold temperatures inside the box and with the extreme movement of the boxes, the packages rub against each other which can cause micro holes, tears or damage to occur. Please know that we do carefully examine each package before placing into a box and would never place a package that has any damage or a broken seal inside the box. This only happens during transit. It is still completely safe to eat and in no way will degrade the taste or quality of the meat and does not need to be discarded. This is why on the “Good Things to Know” paper, we state to make sure and place a plate underneath your meat when thawing. Again, I’m very sorry about that Amy. We don’t like it when this happens either but it’s extremely hard to ship frozen products with the amount of abuse the box goes through before it reaches the customer. Hi Hendl! Thank you so much for your support and thoughtful feedback. We truly appreciate it! We would love to use a more sustainable alternative to the current beef stick wrappers, but unfortunately, we haven’t yet found an option that provides the protection and shelf stability the product requires. We’re hopeful that better alternatives will become available in the future. We would also like to use more sustainable shipping materials for the beef sticks. We’re actively exploring options, but it has been challenging to find materials strong enough to protect our beef sticks from the rough handling the packages can experience during transit. It’s something we’re continuing to work on, and we appreciate your understanding! Thank you so much for your valuable feedback and support for our small family farms. It means the world to us!🙏🏻🥰

Hi Erich! Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re so happy to know you’ve been enjoying the products! And we’re so sorry about the mishap with your last order. When we create shipping labels, our shipping carrier lets us know when your order should arrive, and the type of label purchased and amount of dry ice that is used is based on that information. This information changes from day to day. But we always ship with the intention for the order to arrive that same week it was shipped. It should never get hung up over the weekend for a delivery at the beginning of the next week. If this happens, that means there was a delay with our carrier. We are so sorry this happened but so glad everything was resolved. We truly do appreciate your support for our small family farms and regenerative agriculture. It means the world to us!🙏🏻🥰
