I spend about $100K with Renewal By Andersen of San Diego. The only positive thing I can say about the whole nightmare is that the windows are of a high quality. The hardware and screens are all garbage. The install was a complete nightmare that took over a year of them disappearing and not communicating. The windows are not actually new construction with a FIN for flashing but do require them to cut into siding to place - it's like the worst of all worlds. Not a great seal and expensive install. Their install relies on calk, not flashing. Its garbage designed to cost more and give nothing. I got 3 sliding doors. They were $30K each!!!! One would think that gets you some level of quality, but the handles have all failed. The screen doors are no better than what you will get on a 1000 Home Depot door. They don't stay on the track and are bubbling in corners. Do yourself a favor and work with someone else. This is a SALES org with the tactics of the old door-to-door vacuum salespeople of old. Simply horrific experience from start to finish.

I have four large french windows on the front of my home that needed replacement.I got estimates from 2 vendors. One quoted me about 20k for new windows and the other (Anderson Windows) quoted me 36k. Who is trying to scam the home owner here?

Sadly, it was not a positive experience purchasing windows from Renewal by Anderson, but you won’t know until you have already signed the contract. Over priced poor quality . There is NO certified master installers. Don’t honor warrant, made an appointment to address subpar work, then decided to ghost me without any notice. Not a good company or good experience to purchase window from this company.

False Advertising! Their commercial claims 4 out of 5 real estate agents agree that replacing your windows can increase your home's value by 10%. That is a complete lie. I challenge them to prove their false claim.

Renewal by Andersen Service is HORRIBLE! The sales and installation of a $17K double sliding door was ok. The service has not been responsive and I have been trying to get a response for four months. The issue is the retractable screen door that has NEVER worked since the installation. It was six phone calls into service when I learned that the retractable screen is NOT covered by warranty. They never told us that! They installed a faulty retractable screen and they now want more than $1,000 to install another one. This is the way the KEEP MAKING MONEY on your install. We originally had two double sliders to replace. We decided to do one and the other would follow. NEVER ANDERSEN AGAIN!!

When we bought our Windows, I was actually shocked about the price thinking how high priced the windows were, also wished that we looked at the reviews before getting them. I also didn't get a ledge like we were promised so our cats could lay on it and look out the window. When they put in the front window, we didn't have the same crew as we did on the 1st day of replacing our windows. Our front window looked so shoddy on the inside, we had to paint molding since it was a brown ugly color around the window. We recently had to replace a window that my husband accidently broke. And found out we couldn't replace just the window that we had to call RBA and pay them to replace the whole section of the window and frame. We tried to just have the window replaced and the company we had come to replace just the window could not do it since RBA made it to where the whole window and frame had to be replaced, that was almost $948.00 in May we had to pay to replace it. My husband and I are seriously thinking about replacing the windows so if we accidently break it, we do not have to replace the whole frame and just replace the window. That is a lot of money when someone is on a fixed income. Unless you have a lot of money to get the windows go for it, but if you don't It will break you if you need to replace the window. And I would certainly not even give it 1 star if I had a choice. Oh, and also before we had our windows installed it was delayed because the wrong windows came. And for the inconvenience they do not offer any discount. So, if your windows get hit by debris during a storm and it breaks the window. Expect to pay more than $1000.00 or more for just 1 section of window depending on the size.

Total disrespect of a professional's time and zero corporate integrity. I went through three intense rounds of interviews with leadership, had my professional references thoroughly vetted, and completed a full-day field ride-along. Despite receiving glowing feedback from the team and a direct phone confirmation from the Sales Director stating that the ride-along went perfectly and "everything went well," communication completely stalled. Management then completely deflected accountability, claimed "HR makes the final decision," and hid behind a generic, automated template rejection email less than 24 hours later. To fast-track a candidate, tell them they did a great job over the phone, and then coward out by letting a computer system deliver a rejection is incredibly toxic and unprofessional behavior. If you value transparency, honest communication, and basic professional respect, look elsewhere. Absolute waste of time.

The main positive of working with Renewal by Andersen was the quality of their installation crews. Unfortunately, because of severe logistical issues, we had the opportunity to meet far more of them than we ever should have. We were initially told our job would be completed in one visit lasting perhaps two days. Instead, it took four visits over five days, dragged out over almost three months. Our experience included: A single window randomly showing up for installation when we expected the entire order to be delivered. The trim, which we had discussed extensively beforehand, being installed incorrectly. It had to be remade and refitted by a master craftsman (who was wonderful, but understandably bemused as to why he was even needed). A window arriving in the wrong size—despite multiple preliminary measurement visits—and having to be remade. The remade window arriving several weeks later, still the incorrect size. To top it all off, Andersen decided this window was a perfect opportunity to train a new (and very nice) apprentice on how to install windows, resulting in a 1-2 hour job becoming a 5-6 hour job. Did the team have any knowledge of the issues on our installation so far? Of course not. Being fully charged for the job months before it was actually completed, despite explicit assurances that we would not be. Having to repeatedly chase our “dedicated” customer service team just to schedule the final permit inspection so the job could be officially closed out. The installers themselves were genuinely great—highly skilled, extremely careful in our home, and meticulous about minimizing dust. However, the customer service and project coordination were incredibly underwhelming, especially given the premium price Andersen charges. We concluded we would have been better off hiring a local company, and sadly came away feeling we received very poor value for money
