If I could give less than 1 I would. I spent nearly 20k on 2 doors and a window and aam a year in. So far I've had them come out multiple times to try and make the doors slide right without herculean effort. One is working acceptably the other still requires another service call. Note- 2x I got a call after taking the day off that the technician would not make it that day. I'm an hourly consultant that works from the office. Thus I lost money waiting. Not to mention the inconvenience.
Secondly- Don't get the dissapearing screen doors. While pretty. They are extremly fragile. My dog barely pushed against it and the glue on the track gave way. This could have been a foot a small child or anything else. The quote 770 dollars to replace. Their response. Out of our hands. My fault. It lasted a couple months. Honestly, when selling the product they should warn the homeowner of the cost and don't expect it to last. I had planned to do more windows in the house but I'm taking my money elsewhere. A year to do fixes is unacceptable. Making me take time off then cancel worse. A fragile product that costs nearly a grand to replace unacceptable.

Disaster by Andersen
For the 7th time this year Renewal by Andersen showed up to fix numerous issues with our large LR window section. Every time a different "fixer". IMHO, they have no idea how, what nor why!
RBA I cannot recommend. Now I understand why they have rating of only 1-1/2 stars. Wow!

Ripe for a class action lawsuit for spamming
The only thing they do well is generate massive amounts of spam. The average review on TrustPilot (1.7 as I type) says all you need to know, arguably. Also amusing that on their site, the average alleged review is 4.9. I wonder which one of these shouldn't be trusted... :-)

The windows were overpriced
The windows were overpriced, the workmanship was a disgrace and they built them to open the opposite way I specified. I am having a contractor spend a lot of time repairing the shoddy work before they can be painted. They caulked using silicone which can’t be painted. They should know that. I always thought highly of Andersen windows until I heard Renewal is their cheap version as far as quality and workmanship but very still extremely pricey. They should be ashamed of producing such an inferior product.

I had a patio door installed and had…
I had a patio door installed and had some issues. They came out and fixed the small issues I had but this time I ran into a brick wall for service again to my door. The one person I finally talked to said she will send someone out. No one came and I called and from then on no one would answer the phone. I called the co. in MN and they told me the local person for their company would take care of it. Nothing ever happened. I have a 10 yr. warranty on my door. Seems like everyone lies to you to get your money. Soo disappointed with these so called "Great Company" slogans.

Former RbA Employee: Look Beyond the Polished Sales Pitch
Former RbA Employee: Look Beyond the Polished Sales Pitch
I'm a former RbA Portland employee who worked as a Design Consultant selling RbA projects to homeowners. I'm writing because homeowners and job seekers deserve to understand what I experienced behind the company's polished public image. I came away with serious concerns about the sales culture, customer experience, and reputation management.
The sales process I was trained on focused heavily on closing during the initial appointment. Failing to close was treated as a lost opp, with no follow-up needed. Customers were presented with urgency around same-day discounts and encouraged toward expensive options.
For a purchase that can cost tens of thousands of dollars and more, get multiple independent bids and give yourself time to think.
RbA isn't the only way to purchase Andersen-made windows. Andersen products are available through independent dealers and qualified contractors. Compare those options before assuming RbA is your only choice.
Early in my experience, leadership asked whether I had received my first angry customer calls yet. I was told these calls were simply part of the job, experienced salespeople ignore them, and an overseas team handled angry customers so sales could focus on selling. I subsequently encountered customers dealing with project complications and unexpected costs. Ask before signing what happens when unexpected conditions arise, what the contract and warranty cover, and who pays for work outside the initial scope.
I would also question whether a branded installation process is automatically superior to every qualified independent contractor. Ask what is actually proprietary, who performs the installation, their qualifications, and what the warranty covers.
My most serious concern involved Google reviews. I was encouraged by RbA leadership to solicit positive Google reviews from people who were not necessarily customers. I was specifically told I could ask essentially anyone, including family, friends, and even my “mail carrier” to leave an RbA Google review, provided they agreed to give five stars.
I am not claiming every positive RbA review is fake. I'm stating what I personally experienced and was instructed to do. When non-customers are encouraged to post 5-star reviews, those ratings affect the overall score and make genuine customer experiences difficult to distinguish. That raised serious concerns for me about whether the public five-star rating accurately reflects customer experience.
For prospective employees: Ask about same-day closing expectations, quotas, turnover, unhappy customers, and the substantial gas and equipment expenses employees pay out of pocket. Also ask how often reps are sent to appointments that have already cancelled or are otherwise unqualified, wasting significant time and personal expense. If possible, speak with current and former employees before accepting the job.
There are good people working at RbA Portland, and the product may be appropriate for some homeowners. But based on what I experienced, I would not endorse the sales model and would never hire RbA for my own home.
Finally, don't assume the premium price means better value. In my research, comparable Andersen Fibrex products with similar specifications and installation scope could potentially cost substantially less through qualified independent contractors. In the comparisons I reviewed, the difference was 30%–66% more money for the same project with RbA than with other equally qualified installers putting in, all things considered, equal fibrex products. Enough of a price increase for the same end product to convince me the RbA premium deserves scrutiny. This was just my research, do your own.
Important Distinction: Andersen Windows & Doors (orange logo) is the established manufacturer with more than a century of history based in MN. Renewal by Andersen (green logo) is a separate replacement-window business within the Andersen organization.
Key Fact: RbA also operates through independently owned affiliates. The Portland RbA is an independently owned affiliate, not Andersen Windows & Doors and not RbA Corporate. Yet, it operates as the RbA name and benefits from the recognition and reputation of the Andersen brand by using the vague term 'affiliate.'
That distinction matters when a project goes wrong. A homeowner contracting with a local RbA affiliate is dealing with that local business, not directly with Andersen Windows & Doors or RbA Corporate. Know exactly which entity you're contracting with and who is responsible when problems arise.
Andersen, RbA Corporate, and a local RbA affiliate are not the same entities. Know who you're working with.

Don’t do it
Don’t do it! There is cheaper and better service out there!
We had their windows and a door installed at the beginning of June 2026. The windows and the door are really nice. The installers were great. Everyone behind the scenes, however, from sales to customer service is just really under serving in almost every way possible.
Sales doesn’t want to hear from you after they’ve made the sale. The project manager is over it kinda the whole time but definitely once install is completed. Then you’re left with a (likely underpaid) “concierge” who is left to deal with upset customers and can’t help much or update you on anything.
On the day of install we immediately found out that the electronic Yale door knob on the door did not work. After many calls from us, and reschedules on their end they finally scheduled a new doorknob install for August 5th. Two months. The new Yale door knob STILL doesn’t work, which was discovered on August 5th by the installer. Same issues as the last one. We are now at August 11th and they are just ghosting us. Every single person we have tried to contact for the last week has ignored, or said they’d follow up and has not. So here we are! Big thank you to Geoffrey Kurowski in sales, our project manager Thomas Willoughby and I’m not going to name the concierge cause she’s been the most helpful but still not able to do much.
One star for trash customer service. 34k for windows and a door, by the way, readers.
