The best way to travel and work, definitely be trying another trip with remote year. The city guides and community leaders take a lot of care to make you feel included in the group and everyone was super nice in general. Had a lot of fun and didn't have to worry about accomodations or where to work.

Where to begin... I have participated in 2 RY programs and loved them both! My city leaders were invested in everyone in our group. Ivana and Dado in Croatia and Nikos and Liza in Athens are such incredible humans, and really made the experience memorable for me. On both of my trips our groups were full of people that embraced the spirit of community and we all became fast friends. Of course every RY group is different but in my experience I have only positive things to say about everyone I met. RY did a great job of preparing me before travel, and supporting me while I was abroad. I would absolutely do this again, and again, and again, and have encouraged everyone I know to sign up for adventure through RY.

Remote Year made four weeks spent living and working in Split a breeze. Alaina was super helpful, supportive and informative during the onboarding and Dado and Ivana, the city hosts, were incredible and contributed so much to the overall experience. Loved the group on our trip, loved the city. Recommend to anyone considering it!

Cata and Maria are the best city hosts in Medellin! I met 12 people who I feel like I can call family in just one month of being together. If you love travel, love meeting new people and are open to adventure this trip is for you. You will find your tribe!

Remote Year is an incredible way to experience the best of some of the most iconic cities around the world and I cannot speak highly enough about all of the staff I've interacted with! My favorite destination has by far been the Athens program and I have to shout out the incredible city team, Nikos and Liza, for making my month in Athens absolutely amazing. The amount of knowledge and care that this city team put into the program cannot be overstated! Highly recommend any RY program and especially Athens :)

My one month in Medellin was truly magical! I legitimately don’t have one thing that I didn’t like about this month. The leaders Cata & Maria were amazing, so nice so welcoming & so helpful. The activities were a blast. My favorite days of them all was the Medellin corner to corner day, the day we went & played with kids in comuna 13, Guatapé hike/boating day, the day at Sebs, and the hike to the waterfall! Remote Year made it so easy to work remotely, meet new people & have a blast all at once. Also the group I was with were all so welcoming, accepting & loving! I love them all so much and I just loved this experience. I’m doing it again for sure!
