Our city leader was amazing. The staff at our housing were some of the nicest people in the world. They got me a cake for my birthday. Really need a co-working space.

I have truly had a wonderful experience here in Medellin, Santa Marta and the countryside. Before coming to visit this country, friends and family expressed fear in my coming because of their unfounded thoughts of danger. My experiences have truly dispelled those misconceptions. The people I have encountered throughout my stay have truly been very heartfelt, open and welcoming. By becoming friends with individuals, I have come to appreciate how one's culture has truly been trying to overcome aversity and social struggles by expressing their openness to accepting and welcoming others from around the world. I would truly recommend others to experience the richness and openess of such a beautiful spot in this portion of the world.

Best year of my life! The community that Remote Year provides was the greatest thing that I didn’t know I was searching for. Lau and all of the city teams were so wonderful, and the locations were diverse and exciting. Issues are not always addressed or resolved properly, but overall it was fantastic to have a year organized and curated for us. An absolutely incredible experience!

The people made it great! I loved how there was so much positivity, happiness, and openness within the group! However, my apartment this time is not what I expected. A few things were broken, but since I'm not around at the house most of the time, I could easily ignore them. Nonetheless, it was an amazing 1 month experience.

Florianopolis with Remote Year The accommodations and workspace were extremely comfortable and convenient. The City manager, Thiago and the group leader, Cata, added great value to the experience with their suggestions for activities, their enthusiasm and with handling any issues that came up as well as becoming friends. The other participants were an interesting and friendly group of people and provided significant camaraderie.
