My Remote Year 1-month program in Athens was absolutely incredible. The city team is one of the best in the entire company, and they went above and beyond to make it a truly special and memorable month. The activities we're well spread out through the month so that you didn't feel super busy/rushed and had free time to explore Athens and other islands on your own, as well. The living accommodations were perfectly located (right next to one of the best restaurants and best coffee places in Athens) and super close to the metro. Every part of the month was even more than I could have expected. Definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about visiting Greece.

My month in Floripa, Brazil was truly magical. Brazil is such an amazing country and Florianopolis is a beautiful place full of such much culture, scenery, beaches, mountains, etc! The people in Brazil are so welcoming and kind - especially the wonderful city team (Thiago and Val)! I have done 7 remote year programs (a 4-month program and a few 1 months) and can say this was one of the best city teams I have ever experienced. Floripa is super chill and has a nice vibe if you have been living the city life for a bit or are just ready for a reset. I would highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance! ◡̈

I did the 1-month Cape Town trip and really enjoyed it. The city is amazing and remote year picked the perfect place for accommodation and work. Nat and Mpumi are super friendly staff in the city. I did find most of the experiences have a high markup but it’s a general remote year thing now. Overall 1 month Cape Town trip is amazing and i recommend it.

I absolutely love traveling with Remote Year. I just returned from my second trip with them. I went to Lisbon in 2022 and Cape Town in 2023. DO NOT sleep on Cape Town. Book it and book it now! Make sure to save up more money than you think because you will want to participate in all of the add ons. Especially the safari weekend! Our city team of Nat and Mpumi really made Cape Town special. They were engaging, fun to hang out with and you can tell that they really enjoy their jobs. Can't wait to book my next trip!

I’ve now had multiple month-long remote year experiences, and I cannot recommend the program enough. Before Remote Year, I had been working and traveling remotely for nearly two years, on my own. Everywhere I went, I was constantly faced with the challenge of finding a comfortable place to stay with stable Wi-Fi, a good Coworking space, and most of all, a community of other digital nomads. Remote Year handles all of this for you, with a dedicated local city team and online support staff. I recently spent a month with Remote Year in Medellin, Colombia - if I had to recommend a single Remote Year destination, this would definitely be it. Everything about the RY program in Medellin ran like clockwork. The co-working space at Selina was the perfect mix of serious and social and the local experiences were all way too much fun. (My only complaint is that sometimes the RY experiences can be a bit pricey, but that is true for every Remote Year location). The main reason I think that Medellin was such a special and singular Remote Year experience was primarily a result of the leadership of the local Remote Year city team. Catalina and Maria were ever-present to respond to any challenges, give recommendations, solve problems on the fly, and overall enrich everyone’s unique experiences in Colombia. I know that we would not have such an authentic cultural experience without having Catalina and Maria as guides. They went above and beyond in every aspect - and far beyond what their job description entails - to ensure that everyone had a full, memorable, safe, and work-friendly experience in Colombia. I’ve been impressed with every RY city Team, but the Medellin city team truly stand out. If I were Remote Year, I’d use Medellin as an HBR style case study for how to replicate a successful program for digital nomads. Whatever Catalina and Maria are doing just…works. Medellin is the first city I‘d recommend for friends interested in their first digital nomad experience, and it’ll definitely be my next RY experience. Can’t wait to go back.

I had a fabulous time during my one month in Medellin, Colombia! Maria and Cata were so friendly and welcoming. There were a variety of RY events for the weekends and after hours that were awesome - including a coffee farm tour, waterfall hiking, a day trip to Guatapé and a tejo tournament. No shortage of things to do and see in and around Medellin.

I absolutely loved my time in Medellin! Our team made the experience an incredibly smooth transition, and curated our time with well thought experiences that made my trip amazing. Greatly recommend RY as a company, and Medellin in particular.

My month with Remote Year in Florianopolis, Brazil was absolutely incredible. Prior to coming to tell the truth I had never even heard of Floripa but it truly lived up to its nickname The Magic Island. The beaches were incredible, the city convenient and the people friendly and patient with my lack of Portuguese knowledge. Most of all our city team, Thiago & Val were absolutely incredible- THEY are the reason I loved this city more than anything else. I have loved all 5 of my months with Remote Year, but have never seen people go so above and beyond to make us feel cared for, welcome and at home. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I highly recommended it!
