Remote year continuously goes above and beyond my expectations. With Bali and Lisbon, this is my 3rd trip with them in Valencia, Spain in May and it was a fantastic month! The team with Marina and Julio did an excellent job of managing every little thing to ensure all of us had an amazing and comfortable time. From curated mind-blowing experiences (the sunset in lagoon and such) to community building events - everything was designed to make one enjoy and grow. It’s not just a travel + work but much beyond. You learn to appreciate the world and community in a larger scale. You begin to open up and be receptive! Time to create a joyful world and this is where you can start!

Catalina y Maria are two amazing humans! They helped make my journey through Medellín feel like I was with family. 10/10 recommend anyone thinking of making the trip to Colombia…say yes right now! With gratitude,

Cata and Maria are a stellar city team and so much fun to be around! They truly care about everyone having a good experience and offer so many different options and recommendations to accommodate all interests. Loved the Guatapé experience and going to Comuna 13 to play with the kids for the positive impact event.

The accommodations were great, and while the location was not "Instagram" Bali, it had everything you could want or need.

Catalina and María are amazing and energetic ambassadors for Medellin. Helpful and insightful, not just a list of “what to do in Medellin” but actual recommendations based on what you find interesting and like to do as an individual. The only thing I wish I had was more time with them — will absolutely reach out again next time I visit!

My month in Medellín with Remote year has been an incredible experience. I've greatly appreciated the community aspect and how incredibly hard the local staff work to help everyone feel at home and get the most out of their experience!

María and Catalina are amazing souls with bright energy. They curated so many wonderful experiences this month, were so kind and helpful, and lots of fun to party with! My highlights were Guatapé, Santa Marta, and the tejo tournament.

Remote Year is an easy way to live somewhere for a year and let someone else take care of the logistics (housing and work space) They also offer a lot of extra events (for additional cost) with trusted vendors, so that is great. The program tends to skew younger in age and more of a partying vibe. But even if that isn't your thing (it isn't mine), there are still other things to do and hopefully some people to do them with.
