Garbage bank. Used to be great, but in the last year it’s been the absolute worst. Forget disputing anything. They will reverse claims because merchants won’t cooperate with them regardless of how many pictures you email them showing proof. They will hang up on you when you ask to speak to managers too. Absolutely horrible customer service. Closing 3 accounts after 20 years of service.

I just opened a checking and savings online with Regions bank two days ago. I had some questions and OMG!! that was the start of a breakdown!! If you call, be ready to be on hold forever! or worse, MUCH worse; you chat... you get to meet "Reggie".. the single stupidest AI interface and there is NO WAY around that nightmare! I kid you not, both accounts are being CLOSED, two days after opening!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT EXIST!!!!! UPDATE: BEWARE! BEWARE! Horrible in every way! So now my blood pressure is peaking and I call back again, again waiting too long. I telll the girl that "axe" me questions; Close the accounts!, (I hate poor service and do not tolerate it!) as I was getting no answers. She marbles, she can't while there is funds, I have to spend the money or take it out myself..I am FREAKING LIVID now.. I log back in to xfer and find they're charging me $25 early acct closure fee and $3.00 for the xfer back to my bank that they debited to open the accounts TWO days ago! So, I have to let my money sit in that den of theives for 6 months to NOT have them STEAL $25 dollars!!! Their customer service is horrid, cant get answers. absolutely the worst bank experience in my life (and I'm 61) AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

They don't keep their word and own up to their mistakes. I opened a checking account there with a $200 bonus offer. I did all the things required and they told me (a month after I was supposed to get it) that it was being processed. Another month goes by and they tell me I never had an offer on the account. I went into the branch with emails between me and the banker with that promo code and after 4 full months, they are refusing to honor it. I'm closing my accounts, why bank with someone you can't trust?

Took much effort and many errors on their part to get the account open...had to fight for the promised $400 promotion reward which still hasn't arrived 3 weeks after I qualified... When I took advantage of a reward with Chase a few years back, I had it in my account within a few days of qualifying. Folks are friendly but the way they function seems a bit small time.

ABSOLUTELY BEYOND PATHETIC!!! AVOID THIS BANK AT COSTS!!! If you excel at NOT doing your job, don't care about your customers, and enjoy passing the buck, get a job with Regions; you'll fit right in! WORST BANKING EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE 60 YEARS OF LIFE!

I opened an account online with Regions on July 4th, expecting to receive a card within a week or so, as has been my experience with all the banks I’ve used. Throughout the process, I was asked if I wanted to receive a card for this account and how I would like to receive it. This led me to believe that the card would be sent automatically. Yesterday, July 24th, I finally chatted with someone because I had a direct deposit scheduled for today, the 25th. Only then was I informed that I needed to make a deposit FIRST before they would even mail a card. I spoke with Tasha E., who informed me of this policy very rudely. I ended the chat and decided to call to confirm this. The representative I spoke with confirmed it. I said okay and hung up. I thought to myself that once the funds were deposited, I could simply transfer them to another account I have with a different bank. However, that did not happen. I logged in and attempted both an internal transfer and a transfer through Zelle. I received a message stating that I needed a checking account (even though there were funds in both my checking and savings accounts with Regions) to be able to transfer funds. So, I decided to chat with them again. Michelle M. told me to wait until 6 a.m. CT today, the 25th, to transfer the funds. Two hours past that time, I was still unable to transfer the funds. I called customer service again and was told that I needed my card and a signature, and that my card should arrive within 5-10 business days. I explained my situation, and the representative transferred me to "customer relations," only to be told that the only way to receive my funds is by going into a local branch. This is because they are only just now "setting up" my account and now there is a 48-hour hold on my funds. This has been the worst banking experience I've ever had. I also bank with Chase and Citi, and I received my cards from both institutions within a few days. The processes for both were done online, regardless of whether a deposit was required or not. This is a significant inconvenience. As many have said here, please choose another bank. DO NOT waste your time with Regions. *Update: I called the local branch to confirm if I would be able to withdraw my funds today before making the trip. I was told I’d still need to fill out a form. It is called a Signature Card. Once I fill this out, a ticket will be open and worked. This could take 24 hours. Only then will I be able to withdraw or transfer my own funds out of this account. Please choose another bank. I will be closing both accounts with Regions ASAP!

I have been with regions Bank from well over a decade. I checked my account while ago and noticed that there was a unauthorized charge on my account. I called and talked to regions customer service as well as their fraud department. They said they could not help me because I couldn't give them a password that I had no idea existed. Never heard of it before. No one ever told me I needed one before. I never told them I password that I want. So as a result of that I could not access my account and I could not stop the unauthorized charge from happening. How is that customer service? Oh sure I'll go down to the branch tomorrow and figure this stuff out but to tell me that you can't stop an unauthorized charge on my account! There's no way it can happen? How is that customer service? You guys suck!
