Real Self helped me tremendously in finding a surgeon that I could trust. With real reviews telling all the good, bad, and ugly, it helped me determine who to avoid, and in the end, I had to travel 1300 miles but it was worth the results!

Excellent customer assistance. I had to cancel my appointment with the doctor and asked this team to do it since it was a family emergency but I was told they couldn’t help. It would have been very helpful but aside from that I have no complaints. Very attentive.

Real self is SO bad... it listed a doctor as a facial plastic surgeon for procedures on the face when that doctor is a pediatric head and neck surgeon! It was not even his specialty!!! He has never done a single plastics procedure!

Doctors’ specialties are listed on RealSelf based on their board certification, which is verified by our credentials team when the doctor applies for a profile. We only accept board certifications from the American Board of Medical Specialties and their 24 member boards. We also verify that the doctor’s medical license is active and clear of sanctions. In the US, facial plastic surgeons may be board certified by either the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) or the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS). Either board certification recognizes a doctor who is qualified to operate on the face, head, neck and throat. To receive board certification, a facial plastic surgeon must complete five years of training focused on those areas — including surgical training and residency — and then pass exams. They also must take additional classes to keep their certification. Doctors may pursue a sub-specialty beyond that training, but any board-certified facial plastic surgeon has the same core training. Board certifications are listed on each doctor's profile, along with their education, years of experience, hospital privileges and memberships. tried to publish my review of a doctor that really messed up my surgery, but they will not accept the review, i can only assume the rest of the reviews are fake and only goes in favour of the doctors advertising on their site, if you are thinking of having surgery listen to me do not trust this site to find a good doctor , CORRUPT CORRUPT CORRUPT!

We publish all reviews, as long as they adhere to our Terms of Service, and doctors have zero influence over the content of consumer reviews (unlike some other review sites that allow businesses to hide some of the reviews they don’t like). We also have a multi-step moderation process, which includes both human moderation and software analysis, to ensure that fake or biased reviews never make it onto the site. If you write a bad review about Dr Frati you will be receiving a solicitors letter harrassing you and intimidating you to sign a gagging order and threatening you with court. This site encourages this to happen and then bans you from the site!.. so please do not get excited about good reviews as there will be plenty of others that have been removed!

RealSelf gives consumers an open space to share their opinions. To guarantee an equal platform for everyone, people aren’t allowed to use multiple accounts. When we find that someone is using multiple accounts, we block those accounts and remove their content. We do this regardless of whether the content is positive or negative. We always hope for situations where a patient and doctor can resolve issues amicably, and we certainly don’t ever encourage doctors to harass patients who’ve shared their experience! We aren’t able to control how a doctor contacts their patients or chooses to resolve issues. We hope you’re able to address your concerns with your doctor.

this is where you go to find a board certified plastic surgeon. u get real reviews from real patients and ask doctors their honest expert medical advise on procedures you want for yourself. if a plastic surgeon isnt on real self, i dont trust them

Dr. Hellman is a miracle worker, literally. I am 78 years old and I had “droopy eye lids”. My vision was cloudy, especially my left eye as it was the worse. Driving a car was getting to be an issue, same with prolonged reading. My eyes felt like they had something in them and friends said I looked tired. Then, on May 20, 2021 Dr. Hellman operated on both eyes and fixed my droopiness. My vision improved almost immediately. The cloudiness and eye irritation went away and I could finally see clearly. It has been just over a month since the operation, which was painless, my eyelids have been lifted up significantly and my vision is improved drastically. Not only that, but since Dr. Hellman removed the excess skin numerous comments about my youthful looking eyes keep coming in. Many people have stated that my eyelids are obviously improved. I wish I took before and after pictures…Dr. Hellman did take those pictures and I give him permission to use them any time he wishes.
