I will only use Consumer Direct for any and all of my mortgage needs. I have closed or refinanced with them 5 different times. Mike Eller is amazing and I have yet to have a problem with this company. They are very fast and efficient and the paperwork is easier than buying a car.

We dealt with Consumer Direct Mortgage twice. The first time in 2016 we did a refinance with them and it was a 5 stars work; everything went through smoothly with no problem. However, the second time it was a refinance in 2020 and it wasn't so smooth, it took them 71 days to finalize our loan. Overall we are happy with the company since they offer very competitive mortgage rates and fees, and they are not a small company.

Recently tried to remove my PMI and it took months to take care of. When I call to get a payoff amount to get the loan down to 80%, I either didn't get an answer, got an incorrect amount, or got a different amount calling back. I would go ahead and make the payment, and then request the PMI removal only to be told I had to pay more. I eventually got it removed but paid several months of PMI in the process.
