Broker called me. I told him I was going with another broker so that he could close my file and move on and he hung up on me. Very professional and a sure way to win clients. I have rentals and am always refinancing.

I had an ok experience applying for the loan, upon closing I realized the buydown rate was not used to estimate my first payment or subsequent payment of the life of the buydown. I reached out to the rep I dealt with and she informed me everyone has been fired and no amount of calls or voicemails are being returned. This is awful considering money was spent on this buydown. Now I'm stuck with having to either pay without the buydown or risk running into more problems for an error not made by me. This is a shame.

I have a client with this company right now and I will NEVER recommend this company, not even to my worst enemy. I have been in the business for over 7 years and I have never dealt with anyone so unprofessional in my life! William Huto decided it was ok to yell at me. We have been given the complete run around and lied too.

Went on website to get rates - I have a good credit rating and am a first time homebuyer. After spending 5 minutes answering questions and providing email and phone number (which opens me up to marketing calls/texts), they failed to provide any loan options or rates. Big waste of time!

If I could give a zero I would. The most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. Spoke to mike about refinancing but told him details about our situation that would prevent us from getting approved through Freddie Mac. Due to lack of education, we couldn’t get approved and now had to run through Fannie Mae. In the mean time, the rate expired and they wanted us to pay the 1000$ rate lock. I had to argue which they finally agreed. They run us through again, and call me to tell me we’re approved sign by midnight tonight, no details. I login in there’s unexplained charges in the loan plus they wanted us to bring money to closing which we had discussed we weren’t going to do that. They worst company I ever worked with.

Hard to contact anyone, my insurance was changed without consent. My taxes are always paid late and get fees. I send in the notice but noone to talk to.

The refinance with ConsumerDirect was extremely disheartening, confusing, and time consuming. By far the worse bank experience I have had with any bank. They had messed up my income, which caused a $79 balance on a credit card to have me initially denied for the loan due to risk. After speaking with them, they had taken our 2 rental property mortgages and put down they were primary residences rather than producing an income. Additionally, the employment verification with their third-party vendor was another atrocious process. Our refinance took 2 months, and it was consistent calling them or their vendors. We've done 10 different loan modifications or new loans with banks, and I will never be going back to ConsumerDirect, even if they had offered the best rate that I can find.

Misleading on terms, fees, and how to fund.
