Rasmus Endorses Vendor Product Deception
Rasmus Auction I thought was a reputable business that would honor its terms of agreements. Turns out this is not true. A vendor posted a fraudulent and intentionally misleading description of a product meant to increase tenfold the actual value of the product. I fell for it but after the auction close, I discovered the deception. Long story short I went over and above advising Rasmus of the deception and giving them the opportunity to make things right and they would not. I had been a customer of Rasmus for years and never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined the owner of Rasmus telling me he was going to support the practices of a vendor clearly posting intentionally deceptive descriptions. It is so blatant to be definitively appalling.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m truly sorry for the disappointment and frustration you experienced, especially as a long-time customer who trusted our platform. We take concerns about misleading descriptions very seriously. Vendors are responsible for the accuracy of their listings, but when something appears deceptive, it’s our responsibility to review it carefully and ensure our policies are applied fairly. It’s clear from your message that you feel we fell short in how this was handled, and I regret that this situation eroded your trust in us. If you’re open to it, we would still welcome the chance to review the specific listing and communication in more detail. You can reach us directly at [email protected]. We appreciate the years you spent doing business with us, and I’m sorry this experience ended on such a disheartening note.
