I purchased a 40 ft shipping container
I purchased a 40 ft shipping container. Unfortunately because of heavy rain my shipper canceled on me at the last minute and the replacement shipper could not move the container for the next 7 days due to rain. The auction company (Auction Nation) said they had other containers coming in and said they will use a crane to move mine out of the way when the new ones came in and charged me $400. When my shipper picked up the container it was only moved 5 ft and there were no other containers around it. So basically I was charged $400 unnecessarily. And while the auctioneer may have been in the right legally to charge me, I feel that I was lied to in the reasoning and overcharged nonetheless.

William, thank you for sharing your perspective and for your review. We understand the frustration when unexpected weather and transportation issues affect a pickup schedule. At Rasmus Auctions, removal deadlines are established in advance and are often tied to landlord requirements, incoming inventory, and site logistics. In this case, when the container was not removed within the scheduled pickup window, our team worked to accommodate additional time and coordinated movement of the container to allow the site to continue operating. The relocation fee reflected the cost incurred to reposition the container after the agreed removal period had passed. We appreciate your business and the opportunity to assist with the transaction.
