Don’t ever use this service if you ever want to stud your beautiful dog. Plus, they never answer their damn phone.

Ron - We're disappointed to hear you have such a negative view of PuppySpot. Breeding takes a lot of patience, time and expertise, which is why we thoroughly screen our breeders and require our customers to spay/neuter and agree not to breed their PuppySpot puppies. We believe in and encourage responsible pet ownership and this requirement furthers that belief. Our companion placement policy should have been clearly explained to you and we're sorry if this wasn't clear. That being said, we never want our puppy parents to feel that they are unable to reach us at any time. As soon as we received your feedback a member of our team quickly reached out to you to learn more and see how we can better communicate this policy in the future, unfortunately, you stated that you do not wish to communicate with us. Please know that PuppySpot is a community and we will continue to be here as you need us should you change your mind.

We were given an itinerary saying the dog was coming from St Louis to San Diego in one week. The day before we were supposed to meet our puppy, we called to confirm the itinerary and were told it was canceled due to heat. No update on the app. Then a week later we again prepared to meet our new puppy in the airport and we received a phone call the night before stating the dog had an ear infection. Most ear infections improve in a couple of days with the proper medication... so the new date was scheduled for one week later. Then... once again...the day before we were scheduled to get our puppy, we were told that the medication didn't work and the breeder needed one more week to treat the infection with a new medication. We called our "concierge", Nate, and asked why it took a whole week for a professional breeder to realize that this puppy's ear infection was not improving! So now we are out almost $3000 for the past 3 weeks. We have changed our schedules to pick up our puppy 3 times... all with last minute cancelations. We are SO frustrated! All we have are 3 pictures of a 7 week old beagle puppy that we paid for.... that is now 10 weeks old. We have a breeder that let a puppy go with an ear infection for over a week before deciding to change medications. We have asked for the medical/vet records. I would feel less angry if someone at the company at least apologized and made an effort to give us updates. My family has fallen in love with this beagle puppy... so I guess we'll wait another week to see what happens. called to confirm the itinerary and were told it was canceled due to heat. We received a phone call from a supervisor today. He was very polite and apologetic. He quickly accommodated our requests for the records from the veterinarian and even said he would even reach out to the department that vets breeders just to make sure the puppy's treatment was not outside their standards. Bonus... without asking, he offered to credit us the $399 that we paid for the travel. I will happily update the review to 5 stars once our beagle arrives.

Michael - We strive to provide our community with a positive experience and we are disappointed to learn that may not have been the case with you. We understand your frustration from your puppy's travel delay but, just as with humans, puppies’ flights can be delayed for a variety of different reasons, like weather conditions, as was the case with your puppy. As soon as the airline made us aware of the delay, our team quickly reached out to let you know and check to see if the new arrival time would be okay, which you confirmed it was. To ensure our puppies are as healthy as possible when traveling to their new forever home, it is our standard protocol that all PuppySpot puppies undergo a mandated pre-travel nose-to-tail health examination administered by a licensed veterinarian. It's our policy to disclose any issues found during this examination, as was the case in your situation. As soon as your breeder made us aware of your pup's ear infection and the action being taken to treat it, our team quickly communicated your pup's details with you. Unfortunately, your puppy had an allergic reaction to the medication which caused further delays. We do always book travel with your puppy's health and best interest in mind, so while we're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, we take pride in being a transparent and responsible way of getting your healthy and happy pup home to you.

I actually had very good communication with the managers throughout the process. Both Tiffany and Oriell were great communicators and kept me up to date on the delivery of my puppy. I was able to get my pup (Oakley, a morkie) from the flight and he was fine and is adapting. However, I took him to the vet for them to check him out. He's a healthy pup but the medical records from the Breeder is all fake or lies. I was told the pup was born on 6/15/19 and the vaccines on the medical record are 6/13/19. How is that possible? I tried to reach out to both my puppy managers. Radio Silence. I contacted puppy spot and they just said his 1st shots were given too early and we will reimburse you the $50. Now, my vet wants to do everything from the beginning and is telling me that this is a puppy mill. How embarrassing for me. I hope that he stays healthy...

Lisa - We appreciate your honest and detailed feedback about your experience fetching your newest best friend. As you know from numerous conversations with multiple members of our team, PuppySpot does not, and will never, work with puppy mills and has a zero-tolerance policy for substandard breeding practices of any kind. In addition to our comprehensive proprietary screening process that all members of our breeder community must pass (which results in acceptance of fewer than 10% of applicants), we stay in regular contact with our breeder community and have members of our Breeder Compliance team in the field every week of the year. Similar to human doctors, veterinarians and individual breeders can work on different schedules for vaccinations and we apologize for any confusion surrounding your puppy's vaccination certificate. Since receiving your feedback, our team has been actively working with you to ensure your pup is healthy and up to date with all vaccinations. You joined a community and we remain committed to nurturing our relationship throughout your puppy parent journey.

Puppy spot was exceptional in making our first puppy experience simply incredible and easy. Right from the sales person Lisa to puppy manager Nikki, everyone was very helpful and tried their best to help us. We got connected to breeder as and when we needed, we even asked the puppy to be kept at breeder for additional 3 weeks and they helped us get that done seamlessly at no extra charge. Our puppy arrived as promised on time and completely healthy. The response from puppy manager was always within the time frame listed by the app and the response was adequate. Thank you puppy spot!

It was a nightmare getting this little guy to Montana, but he's home now and all is finally well. Many thanks to Will, Rachel, and Chelsea from puppyspot and Tiffany, the breeder, for finally making this happen!

Simone - Welcoming home a new furry family member should be stress-free and we are disappointed to learn your experience was any different. While we are happy that our team worked diligently to get your puppy home safe and sound, we're so sorry for the confusion and inconvenience the change in your puppy’s travel arrangement had caused. We understand it’s a huge privilege to be a part of helping you select your new family member and we should have done better. Logistics aside, we're excited that your puppy arrived happy and healthy and we will continue to be here for you throughout your puppy parent journey.
