I was skeptical about buying a puppy as we had just been scammed out of money for a Goldendoodle. It seems when talking about delivery after you have given them an exorbitant amount of money, they can't seem to give you a straight answer. Our puppies come on charters. We live on the ocean so the nearest airport is over an hour away. As retired airline employees who know a lot about airlines operations it just sounded bogus. I asked for our money back!

Linda - We are truly sorry to hear about your past experience trying to find a furry family member with a different company. Here at PuppySpot we take pride in being one of the most trusted name in dogs! We work tirelessly to maintain that title by not only working with vetted and licensed breeders, but by also making sure our puppies travel to their new homes as safely as possible. While we understand and respect your experience working within the airline industry, there are several factors to consider while booking animal air travel, including the fact that not all planes are equipped to transport animals safely. Though our method of travel may not be the most direct route for your puppy to travel home to you, we assure you it was a decision made with careful consideration and your puppy’s best interest in mind. Although our relationship has come to an end, we wish you the best in your journey to finding a new furry family member.

I wouldn't get another puppy through…
I wouldn't get another puppy through PuppySpot.
The main reason why i'm provided 2 starts instead of 1 is because I did get my puppy. It was stressful working with PuppySpot up until that point of his arrival, when they no longer needed to be involved. There was certainly a lack of communication and last minute changes that made the entire experience stressful. I found that when I asked on the PuppySpot App about my puppy's arrival, a week or so prior, I would consistently get the response of "don't contact us, we'll contact you". Then, they told me (a few days within the window that he was supposed to arrive) that he got sick and it would need to push back the arrival date by 3 weeks. There was no other sooner date, apparently. They didn't update me on the puppy's condition as we got closer to the second arrival date. In order to get any answer, I needed to call and hope that I would speak to a helpful representative. I had updated my address with PuppySpot, but then they still sent my puppy toy package to my old address - which I needed to pay to receive at my new address. I tried to use the PuppySpot app to get reimbursed, with no response from their representatives. So, I had to call to get a resolution.

Erica - We are incredibly troubled by your feedback since it's the exact opposite of the experience we want our puppy parents to have while welcoming home a furry family member. Your puppy, like all PuppySpot puppies, underwent a mandated pre-travel nose-to-tail health examination administered by a licensed veterinarian, in order to ensure that your puppy was as healthy as possible right before we cleared him to travel home to you (thus the short notice prior to your puppy’s travel date). It's our policy to disclose any issues found during this examination, as was the case in your situation. We were able to connect with you as soon as we’ve received the health examination results to relay the results and asked that you were comfortable welcoming home your pup once he had been cleared, which you were. That said, we never want a puppy parent to feel as if they are unable to reach us at any time and we apologize if that was the case at any point. We also want to apologize for the confusion on where your pup pack should've been sent. As requested our team has refunded the additional cost for having to reroute your package. Despite your negative feelings, we hope you will take comfort in knowing we will always be here for you as a source of support and guidance, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions anytime!

I would not recommend using PuppySpot
I would not recommend using PuppySpot. They are not transparent. It’s difficult getting in touch with breeders and finding out any information about them. After reading reviews about transport and how puppies were arriving home with infections, we decided to drive to the breeder and pick up our puppy ourselves. PuppySpot/the breeder refused to allow us to see where our puppy grew up. We had to meet the breeder at a train station to pick up our puppy. Supposedly our puppy had a vet health check before we got her and she had a clean Bill of health. However, once we took her home and took her to our vet, the vet immediately noticed our puppy had a yeast infection in both of her ears as well as an inverted vulva. Obviously you cannot trust the health checks PuppySpot provides you with. Do not use PuppySpot.

Rachel - Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. Our puppies health is our top priority, which is why We were truly concerned to learn that your puppy was not feeling well shortly after she arrived. A member of our dedicated team has made several attempts to reach you via email and phone, to see how your pup is doing and explain our health guarantee, so that we may assist you. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to connect. Our service extends way beyond the delivery of your puppy, please know that we are here for you and hope to speak with you soon!

Our puppy suffered so much😢😢😢
“We make lives better by placing healthy puppies into happy homes. “
This is what this business claims. But this is a BIG LIE, PUPPIES ARE FROM PUPPY MILLS and the site does nothing to monitor or hold the breeders they use to account!
Our problems began from the very beginning. Originally the puppy we selected was advertised as a boy name Cody. About two days before we were supposed to receive it, we were told that it was a mistake, and that Cody is in fact a girl. We thought this was an odd mistake but did not think much of it and decided to move forward with the adoption. We have so much love to give and the pup needed a home. We named her Eevee.
The problems began shortly thereafter. Our sweet girl vas not growing! She started having diarrhea and would throw up no matter what we fed her. After numerous visits to the vet, she was diagnosed with an extrahepatic portosystemic shunt (a common genetic defect that arises from irresponsible breeding). It was at this point that we were referred to a surgeon.
An exploratory laparotomy was performed, and the aberrant shunt vessel was identified, however her caudal vena cava was absent cranial to the shunt. A liver biopsy was obtained and Eevee was recovered from anesthesia as the surgeon could not move forward.
An Abdominal CT scan subsequently performed the following day (8/11/20) to ensure that a shunt closure could be safely performed. She was found to have segmental aplasia of the caudal vena cava but the surgeon was able to plan accordingly and move forward.
Eevee was taken back to surgery on 8/12/20 and an ameroid constrictor was placed on the portocaval shunt vessel. This was Eevee’s second surgery in a 72-hour period, the incision spanned most of the length of her body.
At the time Eevee was 4.5 pounds and barely made it. The pain and suffering we had to endure was tremendous and her medical costs were approaching $10,000 (she is only 1.5 years old). She will likely still need medical attention her entire life! 😢
We then contacted Puppy Spot with our concerns, namely that Eevee had genetic disorders synonymous with irresponsible breeding. We explained that we used the site specifically to avoid a situation like this. We did not ask to return her but requested they provide some sort of refund for the purposes of helping with Eevee’s growing medical bills.
After longer than a month, numerous follow ups and after Puppy Spot’s own vets reviewed the medical records and agreed with us, we were made the following offer:
50% store credit from Eevee’s original purchase price to be applied to the next purchase of a new puppy from their site
OR
Monetary compensation in the amount of $587.50 representing ¼ of Eevee’s purchase price.
We were then told the offer is made as is and to just choose an option.
This was a complete slap in the face! They offered no sympathy, took zero responsibility for their lack of due diligence, and essentially dismissed us.
We originally went to this site knowing that we would end up paying a much higher price for a dog but that at least we would have some assurance that it was not bred in an irresponsible and amoral manner. We have learned our lesson the hard way. These guys are no different than a puppy mill. They do not do their due diligence; they do not seem to do anything to ensure that the animals are bred humanely. They could not even tell the difference between a boy dog and a girl dog.
Make no mistake, the animals advertised on the site are exactly the same as you would get from a puppy mill, they just found a gimmick that allows them to slap a much higher price tag on them. The irony that such a business would only further encourage the spread of puppy mills was not lost on us either.
Please do not EVER buy from them. These people are part of the problem. They are complete frauds!
Do your research better than us. Make sure to ask what steps are specifically being taken by any company making claims such as these to insure said claims are actually true and not just a marketing gimmick used to jack up the sticker price. Check the return policy, Puppy Spot gives you a whopping three days to discover and report any disorders such as this, this was a major red flag that we missed. Do not make the same mistakes we did, a puppy’s life could very well depend on it.

Like most of people said their services…
Like most of people said their services are great until we paid. I requested to contact a breeder and get some info. They never do. Have not updated photos. When I received puppies, they were totally different look and stunk so bad. We paid for door to door services and I did not realized puppies were traveled five days in the small cage with bunch of puppies in the track. I doubt the driver even took a walk with puppies. You Never knew. The positive side is I got puppies in the month at their 9 weeks which their customer service said I will get puppies in 12 weeks. But I paid two times as much as the market price. If you really want to get a puppy soon, then you should take this. Waiting time for breeder is more than 6 months if you are lucky, But I fully recommend you should pick up a puppy.
