PrivateMDLabs defaults to Quest…
PrivateMDLabs defaults to Quest Diagnostics. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ONE NEARBY you must change labs BEFORE chosing, clicking or looking at any test, on the right-hand side are two tabs. MAKE SURE to have the correct lab selected (Quest or LabCorp) BEFORE adding panels or customizing. If the wrong lab is selected the only way to correct this is by clearing all browser data, cache, and cookies. I live in an area where Labcorp is the closest, Quest Diag is 80+ miles away. Once a blood panel is clicked on that's it, the site locks in Quest Diag and you will NOT be able to select any Labcorp test sites. Its complete BS TBH Otherwise, the service is okay.
Response from Private MD LabsMay 9, 2026
Hi Justin, Thank you for taking the time to share this we understand how frustrating that experience would be. You’re absolutely right that selecting the correct lab upfront is important. That said, you should not have to clear your browser data to switch labs. If that’s what you experienced, that’s not how the system is intended to behave, and it’s something we want to fix. In most cases, the lab can be changed without needing to reset your session, and our support team can also adjust this quickly if it gets locked incorrectly. We’ll review this flow to make sure it’s more flexible and clearly communicated so this doesn’t happen. If you’re open to it, feel free to reach out with details on what you encountered, and we can both help directly and use it to improve the experience. Again, we appreciate you calling this out.
