Absolute worst delivery service. I received an email 2 days ago saying that my shipment would be all riving on a specific date between 3 and 7:00 p.m.. I took off half A-day at work, I got rid of my old mattress, so excited for my purple mattress to arrive only to be sitting in my house at 10:00 p.m. with no mattress, no update, no email, no correspondence, no phone call, no nothing. Yeah I can just sleep on the floor who cares, I can tell you PILOT deliver doesnt. I paid $3000 for a purple mattress waited 3 weeks for it to ship and I'm currently sleeping on the damn floor because Pilot can't deliver items on time. THIS is why I always use UPS. This company clearly has no customer service skills whatsoever. They expect you to wait around and if they don't show up to damn bad for you and now I have all weekend that I won't have a mattress thanks to this shady ass company.

I received an automated call that my delivery was canceled and immediately contacted the Chicago office to inquire as to why this happened. I spoke to a very kind receptionist who provided me with the answers that she has been given, but I find them unacceptable. First, I would be more understanding if I lived in the Loop or maybe even a neighborhood immediately surrounding the Loop; however, I live up in Lakeview. Secondly, the young lady mentioned road closures; as one can see from this article, Chicago roads were actually reopened this morning - (Unable to provide link). I understand that safety is important, but to cancel shipments for everyone in the greater Chicago area indefinitely is a ridiculous move. Large shipments often require planning (working with apartment staff, scheduling use of freight elevators, etc.). It is unreasonable to believe that your staff would be placed in immediate danger to make a delivery 40 minutes away in a neighborhood that has not experienced violent protests. It is unreasonable to penalize 8 to 9 million people for activity that is largely occurring in one small sector. It is unreasonable to indefinitely halt individuals' orders. Perhaps it would take more work on your end to determine which deliveries could be performed and navigate how best to complete these orders, but in these times, all are having to go above and beyond their normal duties. To cancel everything is lazy and unprofessional.

I had never heard of Pilot before ordering a TV from Dell. When I looked up their reviews, I was absolutely terrified! I felt compelled to write one of my own, because my experience was just fine. I scheduled an appointment online. The window ended up being slightly changed day-of (1:00-5:00 instead of 11:00-3:00). At about 3:30, a nice gentleman called to let me know they were about 15 minutes out. They arrived just about 15 minutes later with my TV, which was in perfect condition. They offered me help getting it inside. One of them even handed me a package that had been sitting outside because he noticed it was there waiting. I was so impressed. I was so afraid of this delivery company for absolutely no reason! Do not be afraid if you are in the same position!

BEWARE!!! Please stay away at all cost. Pay more and use a different company. There insurance coverage is crap also. I used so many companies and never had such a bad experience with a freight company. Shipped an item to a client (good size crate) and shipped it with in the same State i live. Tops should of been 5 business days delivery but after 20 days client contacted me and told me his still waiting to hear from the fright company. After calling and calling i got a ran around and no one new what the hell is going on and then finally after 30 days they told me crate has been lost and they dont know where it is and what happen. Basically item got stolen by them and i cant do anything about it.

Terrible company order is still sitting in Chicago and was supposed to be delivered yesterday that's 10 days so far for a package

Ordered a bookcase through Amazon, Pilot where assigned to deliver it. The driver comes to my door knocks on the door has a look in his van and can't find my package. After looking around he said i must of left it at the depo. Then when he leaves i get a notification from amazon that there was nobody to pick up the package. The next day i get a notification that it will be delivered/out for delivery at 6.43am and will be delivered by 8pm. Well guess what hasn't turned up? Also the customer service number doesn't work and you can't track using their website. Shocking.

Through My experience with Pilot Freight's service, I can only rate them -0. I inherited My Great Grandmothers 120 year old ornate flower table when my Mom passed away, and sent it through Pilot Freight from San Diego To my Condo in Florida, as I had left San Diego to go to Maine for several months and was unable to be there in person, I had my home watch guy open up garage for the delivery driver. Pilot Freight's dishonest delivery driver handed a crushed table from the back of the truck to my home watch guy and left with out documenting the damage. The table was suppose to be crated, but was only rapped in plastic. I contacted Pilot freight within a few days of arriving at the Florida Condo and viewing the damage for my self. I filled a claim. After notifying them in December of the damage and jumping through a lot of hoops to provide them with every thing they requested. On May 15th they denied my claim because I did not fill the claim within three days of delivery. Bottom line, they damaged the table due to gross negligent and refused to pay for the repairs." Beware" my experience with and opinion of, Pilot Freight is that they are not a repeatable company. They have no intentions of making good on any Damage.

Not sure why they even bother with making appointments if its not here on time
