This was the most invalidating…
This was the most invalidating experience I think I’ve ever had. I have professionally diagnosed autism and upon talking to me for roughly 10 seconds the pettable doctor decided to tell me that he did not think I actually had autism and then decided to grill me on my diagnosis and ask why I was not in therapy at the moment. As if therapy is something that everyone has access to and can afford or wait the incredibly long wait times to see one. If I could give this zero stars I would because he made me cry and told me that I didn’t have autism even though I have a professional letter from a certified psychiatrist that ran a test saying that I do. In the text saying I did not qualify for the letter, the doctor included that he believed I did not have a mental health disorder. Awful service.
