Overall I liked the speed of receiving the letter . However, the verification process is not easy . Even after I paid for the application packet.

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

Our goal is to make the process as smooth as possible while still meeting legal and clinical requirements. That said, we understand how important ease and clarity are, and your input helps us know where we can do better.
If there’s anything specific that felt confusing or frustrating during verification, we’d love to hear more so we can improve and better support future customers.
Thanks again for choosing us, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything further.

Dr. Kamaria Taylor-McCune
The therapist I spoke with was Dr. Kamaria Taylor-McCune aka Dr. K. She was cold and unfriendly, which for someone who already has a lot of anxiety threw me way off. I was expecting to have what felt like a conversation with a caring therapist. She was clearly reading only from a script, working from a home with kids and just asking me to reiterate the same questions I already filled out online. She spoke rudely to me and didn’t seem like she cared what I had to say which I felt made it very difficult for me to communicate clearly because I didn’t feel like I was speaking to another human. In addition to this I was told I could put both of my cats on my letter, I’ve seen countless reviews of people saying they were able to easily. Both of my cats are very different from each other, they provide different “treatments” for me and at different times. She told me I could only get one cat on my letter because there’s no way to differentiate between them and what they do. So I then proceeded to go into great detail of how they are completely separate cats, how they provide me completely separate therapies at separate times for separate events. She just stayed silent as I continued, then got defensive and ended the call saying I’d get my letter for only my one cat soon, because he is the one who provides “pressure therapy”.
I feel jipped out of my money. I haven’t received any email. I can’t find any receipt, proof, or invoice that I paid from the company, only the money taken out of my account -Pettable. I can’t find any customer service line to reach out to. None of the reviews online seem real. They all ONLY mention a Dr. Kya, and you have to speak with a therapist from your state, and I know not everyone is from the same state seeing Dr. Kya! I can’t even put in a review because it wants you to upload your invoice, which doesn’t exist and was never sent to me! Even then, they have to contact YOU with a request to leave a review for them!
I strongly feel as though my chance was taken from me due to the therapist I spoke with and I’m very upset that there is no one I can contact for help. I wish I could have another chance to speak with someone else and I’m feeling so upset seeing people in reddits saying they had a perfectly kind and understanding therapist who heard them out on how their pets were different from each other.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and we’re sorry to hear that your interaction did not meet your expectations, especially during a process that can already feel vulnerable.
At Pettable, we aim to provide all clients with compassionate and respectful care, and it’s disappointing to learn that you felt otherwise. Our Customer Support Team has already reached out to further investigate and offer any solutions possible, and we’d truly appreciate the opportunity to help resolve this for you. Please know we take feedback seriously and are committed to ensuring that each individual feels heard and valued.

Tardiness
The esa letter was fast and well written but the person I spoke to was 10 minutes late to the meeting.

We sincerely apologize that your appointment did not start on time. While our clinicians strive to be punctual, occasional scheduling delays can happen, and we understand how frustrating that can be.

Easy process but impersonal
I liked that the process was really simple and easy. I did not appreciate that the forms I had to fill out before the appointment were sent at different times. Some of them were sent the night before so luckily I had checked my email that night or I would not have been able to do the consult. I liked that I was able to complete the questionnaires online, but was confused why the therapist kept asking me the same exact questions and didn’t even say why. The therapist also sounded like they were reading from a script so it was very cold and emotionless like a robot. Therapists need to be kind and empathetic not just act like this is routine and be emotionless.
Response from Pettable ESAMar 17, 2025
Hi Marisa,
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We're glad to hear that you found the process simple and easy, but we sincerely regret that parts of your experience did not meet your expectations. The timing of form submissions should be more seamless, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Additionally, we understand that empathy and warmth are essential in these consultations, and we apologize if the interaction felt scripted or impersonal.
Your concerns will be shared with our team to ensure we improve the experience for future clients. We appreciate your input and hope to provide a more supportive experience should you need our services again.

MY PROBLEM WAS NOT ADDRESSED!
my problem or issue was not addressed! side stepping it; yes. your constituiant ..david i think refuted my account as too not really needing the physical support information i paid an extra 100usd for! after i contracted you for the ESP FORM LETTER; I WAS SOLICITED BY ONE OF YOUR COMPETITORS. THEY CHARGE MUCH LESS FOR THE SAME SERVICE; AND IT MADE ME THINK HOW I PAID EXTRA FOR PSA CERTIFICATION FOR MY SMALL PET ...ROLLIE! I DONT NEED THIS OPTION. SHE WEIGHS ALITTLE OVER 10LBS AND WOULD BE NO PHYSICAL ASSITANCE TO ME! I WAS SENT THE INFORMATION ABOUT IT, NEVER LOOKED AT IT, DONT NEED IT WANT MY MONEY BACK ON THAT PLEASE. AS YOU PRIDE YOURSELF IN A SATISFACTION GUARENTEE , SAYING IF THE ESP PAPERWORK DOES NOT WORK YOU WOULD REFUND THE MONEY I PAID? WELL THAT I DONT KNOW IF IT WILL AID IN ME KEEPING HER , BUT THE PSA PAPERWORK WONT WORK; ITS QUITE ABSOURD TO THINK A 200LBS MAN COULD BE PHYSICALLY AIDED BY A TOY SIZE PET! PLEASE BE COMPASSIONATE AS I AM ON A FIXED INCOME AND I HAVE OBVIOUSLY PAID FOR SOMETHING I DONT NEED.. THE PSA CERTIFICATION. I HOPE U CAN SEE ME THROUGH THIS TUFF TIME ASAP
Response from Pettable ESANov 13, 2024
Hi Rev,
Thank you for reaching out and explaining your situation in detail. I’m very sorry to hear about the frustration you’re feeling, and I apologize for any misunderstanding surrounding the additional service and certification.
We understand that ensuring you’re only paying for what is genuinely useful is essential, especially given your fixed income. I’d be happy to look into your account and work with you on resolving this. Our goal is to ensure that you’re satisfied with the service you receive, and I’ll do my best to address your request for a refund on the PSA certification you feel you do not need.
Thank you again for your patience, and please feel free to reach out if you have further questions or concerns while I review your account.

Misleading marketing & overcharging
Update: A portion of the additional charges have been returned to me. Support was responsive after reviewing my case.
Initial review:
Misleading marketing and strategic overcharging. My provider failed me, leading to multiple rewrites and additional information requests from the pet screening company that my provider refused to provide without invoicing me more money. Since my ESA housing application was “returned” for more information twice over rather than “denied”, I could not get my money back. I thought this would be a great service given how they are promoted and have a money back agreement. However, they took every opportunity to take every dollar from me possible, though I understand that PetScreening (the pet approval service my housing provider uses) is also to blame as they seem to be a perpetrator of this endless return for more fees/documentation cycle. It has nearly doubled the face value cost of the ESA letter due to their following invoices, and my ESAs have not even been approved yet (Update: has finally been approved). This service may work if you only have 1 ESA, but if you have 2 — consider using a different service or different provider. I wish I had opted for a service near me that only charges $75 rather than the $150 quoted plus the two additional invoices, $30 each. I have paid $210 for what should have costed much less. The second letter also explicitly reveals my diagnoses to the screening company. I feel trapped since I cannot get a refund unless the applications are denied rather than returned. The screening services prefer to return ESA applications rather than deny them. This is an expensive nightmare.

Hi Katherine, We sincerely apologize for the frustrations and challenges you faced during the process. It's concerning to hear about the multiple rewrites and additional charges you encountered, as well as the issues with PetScreening and how it affected your ESA application. We understand how this could feel overwhelming and financially burdensome.
Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we will be reviewing the situation to ensure that such experiences are minimized in the future. If there's anything further we can do to assist you, such as looking into your case or providing additional support, please don't hesitate to reach out at [email protected]. Not my first choice
I used a different ESA provider in the past, and I recommend that one over Pettable. With Pettable I waited longer to speak with a therapist AND to get the digital letter. After the call ended, I got radio silence from her, so much so that I reached out 2 days later to ask about the letter. My Pettable therapist (M. Stark) seemed rushed (and even was a few minutes late to call me). She was basically reading off a list and not giving me enough compassion or empathy to elaborate. She also told me that the ESA letter would only be for one animal even though the Pettable website advertises that it is good for 2 ESAs. In contrast, the previous ESA website and therapist I used was a lot more compassionate, warm, and genuinely seemed to care about my mental health. I also got a certificate for my cat in the mail with them. I did submit feedback to Pettable but no one from customer service ever reached out. Overall, choose the other site.
Response from Pettable ESAJul 2, 2024
Hi L. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced with our service. We understand how important it is to receive timely and compassionate support, and we're sorry that we fell short in your case.
We regret to hear about the delays you faced in speaking with your therapist and receiving your letter, as well as the lack of follow-up communication. This is not the standard we strive for, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We will review our processes to ensure such delays and communication gaps do not occur in the future.
Regarding the number of animals covered by the ESA letter, we apologize for any confusion. Our intention is to provide accurate and helpful information, and we're sorry this wasn't communicated effectively during your consultation.
Your feedback about the compassion and empathy shown by our therapist is concerning. We aim to offer a supportive and understanding environment for all our clients, and it's clear we did not meet your expectations in this instance. We will address this with our team to improve the quality of our interactions.
We appreciate you submitting feedback previously and apologize that no one from customer service reached out. This is not reflective of our commitment to addressing customer concerns, and we will ensure this oversight is corrected.
Thank you again for your feedback. We value your input and will use it to make necessary improvements. If there is anything we can do to rectify your experience, please let us know.

Extremely awkward call
Extremely awkward call. Took 3 minutes, but the psychologist made me very uncomfortable and used the words "crazy" and "insane" - not to describe me, but to describe psychiatric conditions.
Response from Pettable ESAJul 2, 2024

We take your feedback seriously and will address this matter internally to ensure it does not happen again. Our goal is to provide a supportive and respectful environment for all our clients, and it is clear we fell short in this instance.
We sincerely apologize for any distress this experience caused you. If you would be willing, we would like to discuss this further and make things right. Please reach out to our customer service team at your earliest convenience.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We are committed to improving our services and ensuring a better experience for all our clients. If there is anything else that we can do for you, please do not hesitate to reach out. We're here for you.
