Walked in right before closing, walk, straight back to the fish. Started looking at the fish and no help was in sight while working at the fish the lights turned off indicating they were closing. Next I walked to the front to get service at the fish that we have been standing at and was told that after six they no longer serve customers, and that I needed to leave because they were closed, I informed the lady I just needed some fish from the station and I was already in the store and should receive service and she told me no that is not correct. We are closed and we do not serve customers after six. We will not be returning to the store, possibly not returning to Petsmart at all. +2 weeks before that bought 10 fish and only one out of 10 survived. This location is not very good at all Redwood Road and 5400 S. location do not recommend at all.

I stopped taking my dog to PetSmart because Monica, a groomer clipped only one side of my dog because she claimed that my dog wouldn’t be still long enough for her to finish the job and left me in a frantic mode. Another visit I took my dog for a bath and brush and I was charged $10 extra. I was told my dog was matted so I complained about the charge. I set up an appointment for my dog to be groomed again and the person that was gonna do it hadn’t showed up so they had me wait outside their grooming area. I waited a long time and finally a young woman squatted down by me and said she had numerous complaints. I told her I only had two complaints, one was half done job and being charged extra $10. She said that Monica was the only one because she clipped him last time. I told her I was afraid of having my dog groomed by Monica because the last time she clipped my dog. She said I could bring them in the morning, so I set the appointment up the next morning when I got up I couldn’t go to sleep because I was afraid I’d get a half done job again. I do not recommend PetSmart beware of their extra charges because they will charge you no matter what.

Our 6 month old puppy, Maggie, just completed the first 6 week puppy training class at the Surprise location. We are registered for the next level of 6 weeks. Our trainer, Nicole Knisely, is amazing! Maggie loves Nicole. Nicole explains well what both Owners and pets need to learn and ho wrest to achieve the desired results. She is professional and compassionate trainer. Kudos to Petsmart ! We were pleasantly surprised at the caliber of the puppy training classes. We are very happy that we signed up for the second session.

I took my fur baby in for his appointment and they stated his fur was too mangled for them to groom. I keep clothing on his at all times. They didn’t even take his clothes off to examine him. Since I’d been in and out of the hospital, he was being bathed at home and clothes put back on. It was cold here in Texas. They told me to take him to a vet. I had the medicine from his doctor to make him a little drowsy if there would be a problem, but I did not want to give him gabapentin and trazadone. That’s too much. I took him to Petco but they had no openings. The appointment made with his doctor was so far out. 3-22-23. From what I understood from a Petco associate, the mangling is painful for them. I took my baby home and cut his hair with scissors for 5 hours. I am not a groomer. If PetMart would have at least examined his coat…they would have known that he could have been groomed. They have equipment…I don’t. Don’t just look at his ears and say you can’t do it BECAUSE I DON’T BRING HIM every two weeks. You are supposed to be the professionals. Today my hands are hurting, but my baby feels much better and is now playing happily. I WILL NEVER BRING HIM THERE EVER AGAIN!

My daughter and I stop by every now and then, to buy some goldfish or Bettas. This week, she brought home 3 bettas ad we consider Betta shopping at Pet Smart, to be a “rescue mission”. There are generally a number of them that appear to be in very poor condition, sometimes dead ones, as well. Their disgusting little cups had so many, lined with green slime, that she actually took pictures, which I can send. Most of my Bettas live with us for a minimum of 3-5 years. You just need to care for them properly. The sad looking male that she brought home, died within 7 hours! And this is not the first time. We have even found some that have been dated, as far back, as 2-3 months! How they managed to live til we got them, is a miracle. The help will tell you they are cleaned twice a week, which can’t be true or their containers wouldn’t be full of green slime! The goldfish and minnows have it just as bad. When they first get them in, they dump huge amounts into 1 or 2 tanks, which condemns them to nearly immediate death…and there is usually at least 50% of them dead or dying, when we get there, so we “rescue” from those tanks, as well. If Pt Smart is only allowed to order large quantities, then invest in more tanks! How hard can that be? I have 16 aquariums at home and have spent the majority of my life, rescuing horses, dogs, cats, goats, chickens, wild animals, etc. Now that I’m 70, it’s easier to help the little guys. All it takes, is some common sense and a caring heart. What is wrong with these people??? They are obviously hiring the wrong sort of people. Any living creature living in captivity, deserves keepers with a brain and a heart, that give a darn. :-(

So frustrated. I try to schedule our fur baby for a Hair cut, I was told he needed his rabies vaccine. They transfer me over with the number and Banfield confirm he needed it as well. Today I went to our appointment at the greenbrier store/Banfield next to Petsmart and I was told he is up to date on his rabie vaccine. I have also a toddler and juggling our wild Brittany spaniel & baby together was a complete nightmare. While I was there they try to of course sell me into other things but don’t really seem to understand why I am so upset. Rather try to make excuses for other things he needs. Very Disappointed, training is certainly needed at this location.

I went to a petsmart and I have got fish there and almost every single fish died and one day when I went to return a fish that was dead there was already a fish sitting there dead.

Took my dog there (16-17 years old to get groomed). Without making contact (they tried to call me, I called them back within minutes and they had already took my dog), they took my dog to a vet for a very issue that I told them when I dropped them off. They were unprofessional, refused to give me my dog back, and would not follow my wishes with regards to my dog. I understand being more safe than sorry - but the vet indicated the dog was ok and the general rudeness and unprofessionalism on the staff's part was disgusting. Then the refusal to heed to the owner's wishes was immature. Stay far far away from here until new staff comes in).
