Please do not take an aging pet to get groomed because the staff will refuse to make your pet comfortable. I had a beloved dog , almost 18 years old to get groomed to make her feel comfortable in her dying days and was told to not bring her back any more because they could not hold my baby’s legs up while she got a hair cut! STAY FAR AWAY!

My dog Shilo had his hair cut and nail trim on Monday 25 at 10am she did a wonderful job. Thank you Carrel for helping my dog you are such a sweet and dedicated employee . Bravo PetSmart❤️

South McAllen PetsMart I ran out of food for my pup this morning so around 2 in the afternoon I went in to purchase a 10 pound bag of Instinct puppy kibble. I picked it up off the shelf with no problem and zero concerns...thinking that if it’s on the shelf and for sale that it’s safe for my puppy to consume. Took it up front...the cashier was very pleasant but didn’t check the date or anything. Just scanned, charged me, and that was that. I feed my pup at 8:00 every night so as i was opening the bag i noticed spider web looking things towards the top of the bag. I shook the bag around and took a scoop out to further inspect and there were literal maggots all in the bag. I looked at the expiration date on the back and it said November 15, 2020. I looked up the time that the store closed to speak to a manager and a store associate answered. I explained the situation and all i got was “ok?”. I asked to speak to the store manager because she was no help and wasn’t being all that pleasant so she passed me to a young women named Erica. I explained the situation and she said i could go back “if i wanted”. By this time it was already 8:30 and this specific store closed at 9:00pm. I live a ways away so i explained that to her and asked if i were to get there at 9 on the dot if they would still be willing to help me seeing as though my dog had literally no food to eat. She caught an ugly attitude with me and said “no we close at nine”. It was then that i asked for her name and she said Erica. I dont know her last name because when i asked she said she “felt uncomfortable giving out that information to a stranger”. I said I’ll be there and she hung up. I got to the store ten minutes to close and a young women (Jen) who i had seen working earlier that day when i bought the food was there so i walked up to her and asked her to help me. She walked me back over to where i got my food from and picked up another bag of food. (Same as the one i needed) She checked the date and it said September 2021...i cant remember the day. We went to the front so i could exchange it and it was then that i asked Jen to please open the bag to make sure it was not infested the way the other bag was being that they were in the same spot. She opened the bag and that bag also had bugs and webs inside. Jen was very apologetic and took me back to the food isle to see if there was another bag of the specific food i needed and there was only one smaller bag left. We opened that one and it was fine. She exchanged that for me and since the bag i bought earlier was $40 and the small bag was $19.99 she gave me the difference in cash. I stayed a while asking what they do to prevent things like this from happening and she told me that they check/switch out expired food every 3 months but that they can’t do anything about bugs. As a pet owner...maybe i should have been more vigilant about checking the date...but that still doesn’t explain the maggots. If i or anyone else had fed that to their dog...something really bad could have happen. So when i call back to a store FOR PETS with concerns i would expect the MANAGER of the store to act a little bit more professional about the situation and be more compassionate. Ms. Erica was rude as hell and didn’t seem to give a single damn about fixing the problem. I’m sorry, but if you don’t care about pets you shouldn’t be working at a pet store...and if you don’t like people asking for your full name or being called upon to defuse situations then she should not be a manager of any sorts. I will be calling the store tomorrow morning as well because Jen informed me that the store manager will be there tomorrow. Jen was the only one concerned and i appreciate her, but i hope someone speaks to Erica Whatever about her people skills. Thank you.

I went to the Germantown Petsmart, it’s the only pet store in my area not that pet value is no longer. All I needed were worms for my lizard, and I walked around for over 20 minutes unable to get help. Finally I find a lady and she refused to help me get the worms BOTH times I asked her. They keep them in a restricted area and you would think they would have people available to get them for you. Rude staff, unimpressed. Disappointed as well, you’d think animal lovers would be more helpful to their costumers.

Do not go here worst groomer I made an appointment go to the appointment then the refused to take my dog bc of his weight he is 14 pounds never in my life have ever had that happen and they did not care poo customer services rude services. Never will ever go to pets mart again if I could give a zero I would.

I cannot order food for my puppy. I did in the past recently ( nov- dec2020 ) that can be seen in my account but now, I cannot. Apparently they don t deliver anymore in my place, plus no curbsidepickup is possible on the web site. I called Custer er service and they cannot make the delivery since the website doesn't allow it anymore. What a friendly response......

My store always has the items I need in stock and the checkout process is quick.

I got a fish tank delivered, it leaks! No QA on these? When I left a review to warn others, it was removed?! What the heck! This is bad business!
