Bad experience today! Poor service. The legs have one side with more hair than the other. They cut my dog's eyelashes and mustache. They didn't clean her teeth well. Service was expensive and poorly done. I never go back to this place. Disappointed.

I had booked a "bath and brush" in Albany NY today. When I got there, they tried really hard to upsell me to a package $25 higher than the package I had booked. When I refused, they said they wouldn't do the "bath and brush" on my dog and got the manager in on the action, so 3 if them were trying to upsell. When I stood my ground, they finally agreed to give my dog the "bath and brush" but apparently put me on their do-not-serve list when I refused their pressuring (I remained polite and appropriate), as I'm unable to book anything for my dog there. I also told them that her nails had been recently trimmed so they should skip that part if the package, but apparently they didn't, as many of her nails were bloody when she was returned to me. Bait and switch is a really bad business practice.

I went to pick up my puppy from grooming area and they gave me the wrong dog, told me it was mine and they didn’t have any others like mine back there. Gave me their leash to borrow to put this dog in my car. Went back in there still telling them it wasn’t my dog. They finally checked the back area and my dog was still back there. I had told them this dog was skinnier and more brown and more energetic and had white on his face not like my dog. They told me that shampoo changed color and that dogs age and change color. I showed them photos of my dog and they asked me how long ago they were taken which they were taken 2 days before I was showing them. They asked me if I wanted to bring “my” dog back in and have them try to wash the white off the dogs face because I was telling them all the features the dog they gave me had that my dog doesn’t have. Spoke to general manager who told me he had no idea why they would say they had no other dog like mine back there since they had 4 labs that day. They were not believing me when I was telling them the dog they gave me wasn’t my dog. This dog they gave me attacked me and scratched me everywhere arms legs everywhere. They were so insistent that that dog was mine, my boyfriend with me became convinced. But I knew my baby so I wasn’t leaving until I got my dog.. but yeah they finally checked the back and they were like oh yeah he was back there with his name and everything.

We will no longer do business with PetSmart, and will advise friends and family to do the same. They refuse to allow customers who use only cash or debit cards to buy pet food during the Ontario lockdown, and blame "policy" as the reason. Instead they want you to jump through more hoops, help credit card companies make money by buying a prepaid credit card to be able to purchase dog food. Seriously horrible glaring hole in serving their customers, but it did help me find a pet food chain that cares whether my dogs eat! This chain took my phone order, then brought the debit machine and food right to me in my car, loaded it in and gave us free dog treats for becoming a new customer! So long PetSmart, glad to see you only in the rearview mirror!!!

I realize that this is a big corporation and that the quality of animals and taking care of them will be less but my goodness this is just abuse. I went to petsmart today and the poor quality was from pure neglect. I saw a whole row of beta fish dead because the employee forgot to punch the air hole into the lid

I have used PetSmart Grooming in Temple PA for a few years now but the last incident is my last. My 1 year old mini rat terrier is dropped off for bath, brush and nails. I'm 15 minutes out and get a call that Peanut won't come out of the crate for the groomer and I should come back. I arrive 15 minutes later and enter the grooming lobby, which was occupied by another pet family at the time, to try and let them know that I was there for Peanut. I was rudely told to leave the lobby and get in line. I waited 30 minutes while 2 animals get checked in - in front of me - and I'm thinking "why does it take 15 minutes to check in a dog?" When I got in the lobby, nobody could care less about Peanut scared in the back, or the fact that I was treated rudely. All young people with no customer service knowledge or experience, joking around while people are waiting in line outside the door. No sense of urgency whatsoever. Never again.

I went to petsmart in north Bergen and they have a table inside the store with pet food on sales cause the food was closed to expire and I got seven dogs and when I went to the cashier to pay, they charged me the regular price on each bag of food and the manager said nothing and his didn't do anything to try to help. That is a shame what they doing, put the bags on table for "suppose" to selling cheaper but they charged regular price, this is misleading. Very dissatisfied and disappointed customer of petsmart.

I purchased four new goldfish and a plecko for my tank. I was super excited and for the first few days the fish all adjusted well to their new home, until the first one seemed like he was really struggling to breathe and wasn't moving much. He eventually died and when I went back to the store to inquire after what could have caused it, the employee was very rude and got mad at me and for not knowing that the goldfish are not included in the two week refund policy... which no one told me and I could not find any information about it on their website. After that, one the goldfish I had had for years died... the same way as the other new fish. Then the plecko died followed by another gold fish. I tested the water myself and then had it checked at PetSmart and PetLand (who have always been lovely); the water was completely fine, and it was also fine after a water change and cleaning the filter and other components. I got a replacement plecko (who qualified within the two weeks) that died a week after getting it. I have lost five fish in less than a month, I've had goldfish and pleckos for more than ten years and I've never had anything like this happen before. All of the fish died the same way and the original goldfish was fine before so the only thing I can think of is that the goldfish I got carried some sort of infection. I wish I had the ability to sue for emotional distress because I have tried everything to save them and ensure my fish have a good life but they keep dying.
