We had our dog chipped the vet for a fee. Then you have to go home and make and pay activation fee which was not discussed. You would think the vet would be able to complete this with all the fees charged. Also disclose any extra fees.

Using petkey has given us security that if our heeler happens to get out, maybe someone will take her to a veterinarian to see if she's microchiped.

Buying process & sign up was easy. Vet did not disclose there was an additional fee associated for registration/sign up; I could have asked more questions and the fee seemed reasonable/worth while. Haven't had to "use" the product beyond having it as a safeguard but feel more confident if something were to happen to my pup.
