I bought a pet tag stainless steel for $17.99. It only lasted six months and the engraving wore off of the tag. I spoke to a representative Railana, she told me it’s probably because my dog is so active and rubs the tag against objects that scratch or remove the engraving. My dog is 12 and never plays or does anything but go out in our yard do her business and come back in. I tried to ask for a new tag and was told no at first, then I said well I think it should last more than six months and I would like my money back. She put me on hold and came back and said will make you a new one and give you five dollars off. I found that unacceptable. I will buy a tag elsewhere. I had signed up on their website many years ago and I tried to get on it and it said my password was incorrect. It took five tries to correct the password. Thanks to Kathy Milligan she took me through how to sign up and retrieve my password. She is a wonderful representative of your company and took a lot of time with me as I am not tech savvy and I’m 80 years old. It is too bad you cannot clone her because she is definitely knowledgeable, caring, and even wants to get to know you which she did. I am so pleased with her helping me and I felt like I was talking to a friend when we were finished with my problem.

I only had my dog microchipped because I thought the registration was included with the $45 it cost me to do so....I even matched the cost with a donation to the rescue that was offering the microchip. I think it's a scam to also have to pay an additional $45 to actual use it...I adopted a dog and the REGISTERED chip was included with the adoption fee. Just seems like a "money grab" directed at animal lovers...several reviews back up this thinking.

Before getting the microchip we paid for it to be installed and we're never told about having to pay another fee on top of that.

The program sounds great and all. But the way y’all advertise, makes it sound like the package is a whole lot bigger than it actually is. Referring to the list of “family of services”. Each and every one of those is an additional charge.

PetKey has been helpful as far as customer service goes. I started out registration for a year, then my cat went missing, at the year mark I renewed for a lifetime registration hoping for a miracle that one day I'll get the call that her chip was scanned and she's coming home to me. It's been 8 months now.

once I registered my two dogs I realized I was being charged as a non-AKC dog rate Then I couldn't change registration form the breeder to me on AKC site Have not had time to try to fix this
