Was very easy to register my pups chip.

Horrible service, long wait times on the phone and automated charged my credit card. Personal also couldn't tell me about the service I was purchased and how the database works with my local shelter.

East to set up

The chip was expensive and monitoring is like a second stab, really double dipping

PetKey has been helpful as far as customer service goes. I started out registration for a year, then my cat went missing, at the year mark I renewed for a lifetime registration hoping for a miracle that one day I'll get the call that her chip was scanned and she's coming home to me. It's been 8 months now.

My experience was very good other then the fact that I never received any paperwork that Shia my Golden Doodle is microchipped and is in the database to be found anywhere. I did go to my email and print out my receipt. Other then that no issues. I just want to make sure my dog was indeed in the database.

I think petkey is kind of a scam. I had signed up for a different microchip company and thought I was all set, when suddenly petkey pops up offering life time coverage for $45. Because I never actually searched this company out I thought it was part of the other company. So, I wasted $45 on this company that clearly attempted, and succeeded in fleecing me.

Very easy to register and navigate the site.
