They give refunds but don't check merchants. We paid $250 for a Nintendo switch and the company was fake. I trusted them because paypal but as it turns out it still wasn't safe.

Im a 72 year old man and my granddaughter told me i could utilize paypal to do mobile checkcashing to save trips to the bank which they wont allow.Then i went through a long verification process which they said was verified next day i tried to transfer 1.30 and they said due to lack of verification it would take 24 hours.Now my ssi check gets seperated from my stimulus They say it is on hold and ill have it today.Nothing.then they say to replace your stimulus well give you $10.00 credit!!!!!!!!!!!!IM STILL MESSAGING THEM RIGHT NOW I WILL NOT TAKE A $10.00 VREDIT IN REPLACE OF $600.00

For the better part of a week there has been funds in my account at PayPal. The reason the funds are there is because I sold a camera. I gave both shipping and delivery confirmations to PayPal but they still will not release the funds. Although the funds showed up in the account and the buyer was verified according to PayPal, PayPal"s position is the funds were never sent This might be one super scam. Don't use PayPal!!!!!!!!!!! This ended up being a complete scam.This is the best I have ever seen. The money was credited to my account in my account environment. There is no breach of my password. I use really good passwords. I received at least 9 emails supposedly from PayPal and now they are telling me they didn't send me any emails.

Account got disabled... didn't do anything wrong..but i got it back after two weeks struggle.

I’ve been investing in Bitcoin through them and today, as Bitcoin was on a meteoric rise I sold just under $2000 worth to avoid a drop in value, with the plan of putting it right back in as the price headed up again. When the money went from PayPal crypto to PayPal account they put a 3 day hold on it. They said it was an unusual transaction, I called customer service to complain and a customer service agent who identified herself as “ lady” told me “ don’t worry Mr.Rush I’ve looked at your account and can see a hold, don’t worry when we hang up just wait 3 days and you will get your money back!” Like she was doing me some kind of favor. she said she was unable to do anything about it amd so I asked to speak to a supervisor. He said there is no way to do anything, no protocol to change it. Like they are at the mercy of some rogue computer that won’t let them change any decisions. I was going to say trade to take advantage of bitcoins meteoric rise and then put the money back in my checking account tomorrow to pay my bills. Now I’m going to bounce about 8 checks and I am going to take a hit to my credit. I have a streak of 142 months of on time payments that PayPal has now ruined. They are putting my child’s Christmas in peril because instead of buying presents I have to pay the late fee on all of these checks that will bounce tomorrow. If it was from a strange account I could understand, but when it’s from PayPal to PayPal. It is complete thievery to hold my money.

THEY LIMMITED MY ACCOUNT FOR HAVING Claims Open on My Paypal Account Againts A Seller and all Claims where Closed And Appeals where not DENIED FROM MY PAYPAL JUST BECAUSE I OPEN A CLAIM ON PAYPAL AND FOR THAT REASON AM NOT ALLOWED TO USE PAYPAL EVER AGAIN PAYPAL IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY DONT USE IT HOPE THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY Shuts down PERMANENTLY THERE IS NO REASON FOR THEM LIMITED MY ACCOUNT IF CLAIM WENT IN MY FAVOR DIRECTLY FROM PAYPAL

Unbeliavably backward. Hard to think why businesses keep using this. I've got bank accounts in two countries, but only can use a card from the country I linked my Paypal account to initially. For some incomprehensible reason they do not allow cards from multiple countries, neither do they allow two accounts using the same email address, meaning that I cannot set up a parallell account without setting up a new email address specifically for this purpose (facepalm). Feels like back in the nineties when most of the internet used to be as frustrating as this :D

If you get payed via Paypal make sure you ship with a CONFIRMATION OF RECEPTION. Confirmation of shipping is not enough, and if the buyer did not want to pay a trackable shipping, of the shipment goes abroad by regular, non trackable Post, if he simply states he didn't receive anything, he will get YOUR money back. Doesn't matter if you have a shipping confirmation or even a Customs Exit stamp on your proforma invoice, if there is no CONFIRMATION OF RECEPTION all it happens is YOUR FAULT and you will not get your money (which will be returned to buyer). All of this if HE SIMPLY DECLARES that he received nothing. This can surely happen to be true at times, but when he only wants to pay for regular shipping (that do not include proof of reception) to save money, this is AT YOUR RISK. On top of this, if you payed the very same shipment with Paypal do not expect to get refunded because...there is a proof of shipment...so no refund!!
