I called on the way and they sent me somewhere else but due to circumstances, I had no other choice, so I went up there anyway and thank God, they let me in. I put my Tub O'Fluff on the counter in her carrier and they said there was no one to look at her. Then someone came in with a little dog that had fallen and they had to see him. So, I guess they felt like they couldn't turn me away at that point. Then, they never heard of PAWP and they wanted me to pay up front. I showed them a PDF I downloaded to my phone with instructions to the vet. They wanted PAWP to call them and she did and they worked it out. The bill was more than 600 and it was paid before I left the building, just like they said it would be, and at this point I'm really, really thanking God for PAWP. 🙂

So apparently, a dog that is actively choking on a bone does not qualify as an emergency vet visit? Not only did PAWP refuse my coverage of an emergency that my dog was actively having, I also had to jump through hoops to submit the information. I WILL SCREAM FRAUDULENT BUISNESS ALL THE WAY TO BBB.

Amazing app, every pet owner should have pawp!! The peace of mind from being able to talk to a vet at any time is worth it, let alone the emergency fund. These people are saving lives and easing anxiety!

satisfied with the call

Dixie was gasping for breath. It's hard to explain. A chihuahua having a panic attack, but it wouldn't stop. She just couldn't calm down and get a good breath. I finally decided it might not be a panic attack. What if it was something else? I contacted pawp. The vet immediately wanted Dixie on video. Of course, that's when she starts breathing normally. The vet was so kind. Checked a couple quick things and just told me to watch her. Said to video Dixie and call back if it happened again. It was such a relief having pawp there to consult. I know they would have taken care of my baby if her breathing hadn't normalized. I haven't needed my emergency fund, but this morning showed me the value of having a vet right there for me in an emergency. I will be a member as long as I have dogs.
