The type of services covered should be reevaluated. My dog was actively bleeding from the bite of another dog and I was told that because it wasn’t “life threatening” that it wouldn’t be covered. This was a Sunday and Monday was a holiday. So without going to the emergency vet, my dog would have had to wait several days. I took him anyway and will pay out of pocket, but in this situation it could have become life threatening if he had gotten an infection. I really disagree with this decision and am concerned about the threshold for coverage.

Hi Tracie, We're sorry to hear about the situation experienced by your dog! We make our definition of an emergency clear at signup as well as the steps for activating the emergency fund. With the Pawp Emergency Fund, Pawp provides coverage for catastrophic and life-threatening emergencies. Feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] for further clarification!

Maria was so kind and reassuring! I really appreciated that she was willing to video chat and put eyes on my little guy. She offered great explanations and I felt so much better after taking with her!

Hi there, Thank you for leaving a review, and we'll be sure to let Maria know about your kind sentiments! :)

I had an eight and a half year old chocolate lab. Blood cancer went to emergency for 3 days and did not make it. Went through all the protocols with pawp. Took a loan out for $3,600 thinking I would get paid back $3000 because my emergency funds were activated they denied it. If you were thinking of joining this run, and run fast!
Response from PawpMay 26, 2022
Hi Eric, As stated in our Rules & Regulations, all emergency fund activation are approved pending verification that the rules and regulations have been followed. All pet owners have eight hours to admit their pet to the clinic for treatment once the fund has been activated. We make this requirement clear throughout the process. If you have further questions or concerns, please reach out to [email protected].

If only zero star is available. They don't cover as much as you think when it's time to requesting for reimbursement. So you'd be wasting your time, energy, and money paying for something that does not cover much. They cover up to 6 pets? But you can only file a claim once? I strongly urge you to read EVERY FINE print on their contract. Don't waste your money.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry to hear you feel that way about the Pawp emergency fund, but our Rules & Regulations are straightforward and clear. We cover life-threatening emergencies when the Pawp Vet Professionals Team is contacted prior to admittance at the clinic. I would encourage every single person to read the fine print when signing up for a service as well. If you have further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to [email protected].

Hi there, Thank you for your kind words. We'd love to know which Pawp Vet Professional you spoke to! :)

IF I COULD GIVE YOU A ZERO I WOULD! MY PUP SUFFERED AN INJURY TO HIS PAW, CALLED YOUR VET, TOLD ME TO TAKE HIM TO MY VET, BUT PAWP'S NOT PAYING. THE VET WAS SMIRK LAUGHING WHEN I SAID THAT'S NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD WHEN I SIGNED UP BY MATT! I TOLD HER RIGHT OUT TO GET HER LAUGHING SMIRK OFF HER FACE, MY PUPS ISSUES ARE JUST AS SERIOUS. I WAS CLEARLY TOLD AND STATES ON YOUR WEBSITE "EXTREME EMERGENCIES "AND" "AND" " UNEXPECTED EMERGENCIES"! YOU FRAUDULENTLY ADVERTISE YOUR INSURANCE, A HURT PAW IS AN UNEXPECTED EMERGENCY! THIS INSURANCE IS CLEARLY A RIP OFF!

I wasn't able to locate a video chat where our team treated you that way, but please reach out to us at [email protected] to provide further details!
