garbage company
I know I'm the 80th person to say this, but it's INSANE to charge $48 for an e-card. The whole, "We gave you a plastic card - buying an e-card is optional" line is complete BS. We have plastic cards because PADI was stuck in the stone ages forever and made us carry plastic cards around with us. When you started offering e-cards, you should have let everyone upgrade for free. But PADI doesn't give one ounce of care about happy customers. They just want all the money (which they don't bother using to make a decent app). Total garbage company.

Hi Michael, We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your concerns regarding the cost of a new card and apologize for it altering your opinion of our company. In terms of the cost of the card please keep in mind that you are paying for the value the card offers. The fee includes labor involved, materials, etc. PADI cards never expire and can be used in any condition. Additionally, the pricing is competitive with other scuba organizations and we offer multiple ways of attaining them. Also, purchasing the eCard/plastic card is optional. PADI dive centers and/or PADI instructors are able to look you up in our Dive Chek system to verify your certification. Please let me know if you have any questions.
