Absolute joke of a company! Avoid!
I’ve been waiting 6 weeks for my aligners to turn up and despite chasing weekly, have been lied to about when they will be arriving 3 times. I am still waiting and have received hostile and rude service from the customer service person every time I call. I’ve literally been polite and he has started arguing with himself, banging on about terms and conditions that are on the website, when I never even claimed not to have read them! If I could go back, I’d never have bought from them! I wanted my teeth fixed in time for my wedding and if they’d arrived in the 7 days as per the promises on the website, my teeth could be a good part of the way there by now. As it is, it’s been a waste of my time and money so far. I’m a busy mum and had to waste so much time chasing these morons! Their 30 working day ‘buffer period’ is now coming to an end and I’ll be requesting a full refund. Absolutely furious

Working great for me
I am about three months into process and I am pleased with results.
The good bits:
Cheapest on market
Easy to sort out yourself at home - I don’t think you need a dentist
Responsive
Effective results
The bad bits
They say that the guarantee is only valid if you take a picture of your teeth everyday. I started doing this but hard to remember everyday. I have stopped taking pictures as I am pleased with progress.
I had to ask three times for the £39 refund of impression kit (you get this if you proceed to full offer within timeframe)
It did take a few weeks to get my aligners (over Christmas period). The 7 day is not accurate. They should be open about actual lead times. Ultimately it is not an issue.
There is a little bit of discomfort on first couple days. But I saw my NHS dentist and he said that is normal. He recommended I went to hygienist for full cleaner beginning of process.
I waited three months before giving review but this has been great for me personally. Seeing the results. I didn’t want to spend £3k on the market leading brand. If you read instructions, then you don’t need dentist. I just saw my regular dentist and told him and he gave all clear. He did say he would have charged £3k for main brand.

Poor experience and lost confidence.
Very poor experience.
I had ordered my impression kit and it arrived promptly. Following the basic instructions provided I did the best I could. I was speaking via their online chat throughout and asked them for confirmation that the impressions I did were ok before packing them away and sending them off. They confirmed they were (no need to use the spare set incase of mistakes - happy days).
I sent the impressions off and the expectation was to get the scans / treatment plan back within a couple of days.
A week or so had passed and I hadn’t heard anything (repeatedly checking my emails). I reached out to the online chat and was assured my scan and treatment plan would be sent the following day (no mention of a problem).
Another few days or so had passed and I hadn’t received anything (repeatedly checking my emails). I once again reached out via the online chat to ask for an update.
The agent offered a call but I was away on business. We then agreed for them to email me so I could call when available. The email never came.
I reached back out to the online chat (again - notice the running theme here, no communication or updates. Me, the customer always reaching out) and asked for an update and what was going on. Matthew then called me back, informed me they had tried contacting me multiple times to no avail (not true and couldn’t tell me via what method or when this supposed, attempted contact was made) and explained the impressions were not done properly (original chat agent after sending photos said they were fine) and as a ‘gesture of goodwill’ will send another free kit out (usually they would charge me).
I asked Matthew why nobody had emailed me to arrange a call prior, I asked why the original agent said the impressions were good, I asked why there was no communication throughout. I wasn’t supplied with an effective or justified response.
I explained my confidence in the company and service was now diminished. Something as important as teeth require the upmost professionalism and attentiveness. I haven’t felt I’ve received this.
Matthew did apologise, and acknowledged someone had dropped the ball somewhere and not communicated efficiently. I was offered a full refund for the £39 impression kit which was a nice gesture (after the mention of a trustpilot review).
This is no way a dig at the agent, Matthew. He was fine.
The whole experience made me distrust and lose confidence in this business. If they struggle to communicate at this early stage correctly and efficiently, why an earth would I trust them to align my teeth?

Shocking Customer Service – Threats, Aggression & Illegal Practices
I had an absolutely appalling experience with Overnight Smile. After submitting my impressions, I received a completely useless 3D treatment plan three days later—only one single tooth moved in the simulation. I contacted customer service, and the next day, I received a call from a man who claimed to be a dentist.
I was extremely polite throughout our conversation, yet he was hostile from the start. I explained that the 3D plan showed no real improvement. His response? That my tooth was “twisted” and their aligners couldn’t fix it—I would need to see an in-person dentist. Since their own representative admitted that my case wasn’t suitable, I requested a refund of the £39 I had paid for the impression kit, as per their own website’s policy.
His answer? A complete refusal. According to him, my case was “partially suitable,” so I wouldn’t get my money back. Partially suitable?! That’s not what their refund policy states. When I mentioned I would leave an honest review, things escalated—he started shouting at me and, unbelievably, threatened to report me to the police for blackmail if I left a negative review.
This was beyond shocking. My heart was racing—I have never been spoken to so aggressively by a supposed professional. When I told him I would begin recording the call, he immediately changed his tone and suddenly offered me a refund—but only if I agreed not to leave a review. This is not just unethical—it’s likely illegal. Under UK consumer law, a company cannot make a refund conditional on a customer staying silent.
As if this behaviour wasn’t bad enough, he also had the audacity to question whether I “knew the laws of this country” because of my foreign accent. Is this how Overnight Smile trains its staff? Is this blatant xenophobia? Does he, in fact, know the laws of this country himself, particularly regarding threats and discrimination? A company hiring someone like this is deeply concerning.
For anyone considering Overnight Smile—avoid them at all costs. Their product is questionable, their customer service is aggressive and intimidating, and they actively try to silence negative feedback. No legitimate business should operate this way.
I will be reporting them to Trading Standards, the General Dental Council, and other relevant regulatory bodies. If Overnight Smile attempts to remove this review, let me be clear: I have the full recording of this disgraceful phone call and will publish it across all my social media platforms if necessary.
Furthermore, I am formally requesting that, upon their knowledge of this review, all my personal data be permanently erased from their records under my rights outlined in the Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) guidelines. Given that they employ such aggressive individuals, I am genuinely concerned for my safety and do not authorise any further contact from this company, including phone calls, emails, or any form of communication.

Replacement Retainers Expensive
Welcome to my review of the overnight smile aligners after completing my journey.
I was hesitant because even though this company is cheaper than the other options I explored, the company was an unknown. First, I paid a deposit for the mould kit. By the way, you pay the same fee whether you choose to do one arch or two. You have three tries to complete the mould correctly.
My advice concerning the mould is:
Don’t rush things. It is an essential part of the process and the basis of your treatment. Follow the instructions in the letter and ensure you are happy with the result. Remember, if you are unsure, call the team and send them a photo if you are uncertain whether your mould is correct.
Following the return of the mould, I received a 3D model via email demonstrating what improvements I could expect from the aligners. I was happy to proceed on that basis and received my alligners within two weeks…I think. I did call them to follow up because I was concerned about whether trusting them was a good idea, but the kind staff mollified my fears. All the aligners arrived in the same box, including the retainer you must wear on completion (forever). Keep in mind that anyone who wears braces needs to wear retainers indefinitely. You can buy more retainers from Overnight Smile every six months.
Here is my advice concerning the aligners.
1. Wear them every day and night. Don’t take them out unless you are eating/drinking (water exempt).
2. Send the team daily photos. They need to monitor your progress. As the treatment progresses, you might be able to discuss the possibility of weekly updates with them, but this needs to be arranged.
3. I found that some of the aligners dug into my gums a bit, but the kit contained a file for smoothing out these kinds of issues. I did file down less than a millimetre to allow for a better fit, but that was purely because of my gums.
4. Pain will occur as your teeth begin to move, but that is expected. I experienced the most discomfort during the first 2 or 3 days of starting a new pair.
Communication.
I was allocated one person for all my queries, and communicating with him was easy and informative.
Other.
Sometimes, I wanted to rush things along and start a new pair early, but it is best not to. I found that as time progressed with one pair, the pain moved from one section to another, suggesting that the target area depended on the duration of wear. So, keep wearing them for two weeks before swapping them for another pair. The aligners are generally easy to keep clean. I alternated between gently cleaning them with a soft toothbrush or rinsing them.
My result.
I had front teeth that overlapped a bit, so I started this journey hoping to fix this issue. Honestly, I had some self-esteem issues because of my smile. I hid my teeth whenever I could, and smiling on camera was a nightmare. Now, I smile at everyone. There are some things that I would still like to change about my smile, but I know that would require a combination of surgery and metal braces because of crowding. All in all, I am grateful, happy, and satisfied with my result. I would recommend them to other people.
UPDATE 1/01/26
Regular replacements of your retainer will be required, but the price keeps increasing from £119 in 2025 to £149 in 2026! At this rate I won't be able to afford replacements.
UPDATE: Overnight Smile provided an invoice for £89 to replace my retainer as a "goodwill gesture". Perhaps next time I might shop around for a retainer elsewhere, because I certainly can't afford the steady increase in retainer prices.

So far it has not been the best…
When I first placed an order for the kit it came very quickly and I shipped it back within a day. It says it will take 7 days to ship your aligners to you and so far I have waited 21 days (15 working days). The customer service on chat is quick but not consistent as I was told first it would take 7 days, then 7 business days, then 7-10 business days, then another 3+ business days to ship and I still have not received any order updates apart from the "wait 3 more business days" from the chat which always adds on extra days. I received over 9 text messages and over 5 emails when the 3d plan was created and since purchase have received nothing: no contact, texts, emails.my order status hasn't even changed and still says "processing". I will update the review once I've received my aligners and once the process is complete but for now I'm not satisfied.

Massive delays when shipping the…
Massive delays when shipping the aligned. I was promised shipping would be after 7 days from purchase. It has been nearly a month. Empty promises on the phone and through email too. Beginning to think scam definitely.

Dear Esther,
We’re disappointed to see this review, especially as your aligners were dispatched exactly on time, as per the 7-10 working day timeline clearly stated on our website and in our communications with you. We also sent multiple emails updating you on your order status, which unfortunately, were not opened.
Despite our team addressing your daily inquiries and reiterating the timeframe, it seems there was a misunderstanding on your end. We are always happy to assist, but it’s important to acknowledge that our production and dispatch timelines were met as promised.
If there’s anything else we can do to support you, please feel free to reach out.
Best,
The OvernightSmile Team

Stay well clear of this company
Stay well clear of this company! it’s a scam.
I was contacted by a private number to start with by a person called Jonathon claiming that they will not send out my first set of aligners (the website states delivery in seven days) until I make the second payment (out of three payments) even tho I was given the option on the website to pay in three instalments. He then went on to say that he didn’t trust me that I was going to pay the remaining two instalments which I found to be very strange as I was given an option to pay in three instalments on the website. My plan was meant to last only a month as I needed very little movement in my teeth. Once my second instalment was paid (a month later) they then sent out my first set of aligners these did not fit properly but I trusted the process. I have had these on for five weeks now and they’re still yet to send out the final set of aligners which were meant to be sent out weeks ago. I have contacted them many times but all they say is that they’re out for delivery or that the delivery has been delayed. My teeth have not moved in the slightest, the customer service seemed to be the same person every time I contacted them (Jonathan) very rude. I will be seeking a refund for the money they have taken from me along with contacting trading standards. Stay well clear of this company!

Dear Paul
Thank you for your feedback. While we always ensure to take accountability when we fall short on customer service - we note that you insisted to use our pay in three option when it is not available for plans less than three months (for clear reasons). We provided you with this option as a gesture of good will however we were not able to provide you with all the aligners prior to payment as this would be against our terms and unfair to other clients. As you will be aware, accounts teams often call from withheld numbers when collecting late payments.
We note that you have never mentioned to us that you had fit issues until this review and you have also never sent any photographs or checked in. Please do contact us if you are indeed having a fit issue and we will be happy to help.
We apologise if you felt frustrated by any interactions with our customer service team and we always seek to use feedback constructively to improve our service however we feel your account is incorrect and is misleading to other clients.
