I purchased a nano in 2023
I purchased a nano in 2023, used it in my personal and army travels. One mission I was at I was showing off my nano making espresso for my comrades in arms. It quit working and had to go without a good coffee before our mission. Researched why the unit won’t hold charge and error lights blinking, reached out to OutIn via email. I received a email back explaining that my unit battery is dead based on the video I sent them. The response was both frustrating and disappointing. For a unit that cost more than others and has good marketing pitch, I expected to be helped. I was informed that my unit is not serviceable, they don’t offer repair or replacement of battery. I was so disappointed knowing that the company and espresso machine I bragged about and influenced countless of people to purchase and use won’t even offer to repair the unit I travelled everywhere with. I was willing to pay for repair, not asking for freebies. I gave up trying to resolve the issue. I had no choice but to buy a new unit. Went with the Mino as a Father’s Day gift to myself. I have 1 more mission to go to before I hang up my uniform Nov 2026. Hope this one won’t fail me as the nano did. After placing this review I was contacted by OutIn sales and was offered an apology and a % refund to apply towards the new purchase I made (Mino) if I will change my review. I received subsequent phone call and email offering % refund towards the new purchase when I did not bite and was informed that they will credit back % of my new purchase once they see that I had changed my review. The verdict is still up regarding the quality and make of the newly purchased Mino I just received. My fellow Army Soldier who had bought the Nano after seeing me using one said “mine stopped working too, I bought mine from Costco and they just replaced it.” % of discount they gave me will go towards the disappointment and none use of my previous item. Definition of stupidity is “doing the same thing and expecting a different result”. Hopefully that will not hold true for the Mino. I am going out on a mission this coming week. We will see how this better version holds up and how long will the battery last. Hopefully I’ll get a better warranty experience if things go south. Verdict is up in the air and you will all hear back from me again.
