I discovered Otter when I was working for the newspaper but since then I've recommended it to all my ESL students. There are so many uses for this great app. And I've only used the free version.

Otter.ai is something I recommend to anyone who struggles to in the moment write down everything that is being said. It is great for meetings yes, but it really shines during class. You can listen to the audio file along with the transcription and take notes. It now even includes a summary feature from AI that is getting really good. Otter.ai is an excellent accessibility software that I cannot recommend enough. The platform (both on the PC and the app) is easy to use and intuitive. My only complaint is the drop in recording time - it used to be long enough for me to record a 3 hour class, but now I have to remember to stop the recording every 90 minutes otherwise I don't get a transcription. I have been using Otter.ai since 2021, I'm not sure what I would do without it! otter.ai has been very useful in allowing me to review meetings my niece have been a member of to give her an unbiased assessment of the participants and what I think are their personal agendas. I utilize the free version that is open to anyone which allows you to follow the conversation or an ai generated summary of keywords and takeaways. The platform also allows participants to be in multiple time zones. The is the free version is what I use but I am convinced that the Go Pro version is great for companies or corporations. The tool is great for students also. I have been greatly pleased and highly recommend otter.ai

This product is fantastic! Helps me with developing out my RAID log (Risks, Actions, Issues & Decisions) and helps me get my meeting minutes done and sent out very quickly. I would recommend this to professionals on every level!

I rely on Otter.ai to transcribe interviews: for blogs and for video scripts (testimonials, profiles, stories), and for meetings. It's become indispensable for my work and life.

The platform is easy to use and gives you a transcript relatively quickly. I've actually used it more at work to caption videos for my deaf and hard of hearing students but kinda bummed with the limit on the basic plans.

I SWEAR by Otter. It is my number one recommendation for anyone who wants to transcribe their calls, add it to their meetings, etc. While the AI summaries are never perfect, they make it much easier for me to access the data I need from a really long call. I've been using Otter now for the past three years and have really gotten to watch the software flourish and work better for me over time. It'll continue to be one of the only software I use for this purpose.
