There are multiple links on the website to send them a secure message but all those links open the message center, and there's no way to send a message from there (and apparently no way to do it at all). The chat agents are unhelpful assholes.

Would give them a zero if possible. Continually deny my wife's medication even though she has been on it for years and can't use any of the alternitives. Have to fight each time to get meds approved. Also tried to charge me $130 for insulin when my stats contract specifically limits it to $30. Filed a complaint with medicare to fix that. Send meds poorly packaged almost all of the time. Transferred all prescriptions to local pharmacy. Done with these idiots.

I had an order that was lacking a refill. When I called in to tell them that the pills had not come they told me that they shipped them. My policy has a ""30 day replacement clause for "lost pills". They said they would send out a replacement refill. I never got the pills, when I called in they told me that THEY canceled the order BUT never notified me. Now I need to get a local refill order from my Dr. and then they would send out another 30 day refill. They never said that my replacement refill would be limited to 30 days and that I needed to contact my Dr. I now have been without these pills for over 30 days. Not acceptable but no choice.

They fought not to cover my 2 insulins and toothpaste. My policy ends on 12/31/25 and I have a new plan.

I have had nothing but great experience with Optum. I am shocked some have not! The automatic refill function works really well, scripts arrive as scheduled, changes made without delay. It definitely makes living with my version of MS a little easier!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I hate dealing with this company but I don't have a choice because our employer chooses who we use and they don't care. Its been a nightmare. They are so cheap and use the cheapest supplies. I have asked for different supplies but they won't send me what I want. They send a ridiculously small sharps container and I have large syringes and vials to dispose of. I ask every single month for a larger container and they won't send it. They hound you for money constantly. All they care about is that they get their money. I told them I sent a check and 3 days later they are calling for it and two of the days we're weekend days. I live in rural Maine where there has been postal service problems for well over a year so they need to be patient. He then tells me it will take 30 days to post a check to the account! They want a credit card now. Tough shit you're getting a check and waiting for it so stop hounding me. If you have a choice do not use this company. They suck!

Took 3-4 tries to get my daughter’s script filled. Meds provider called it in and I assumed it was coming. Meds never came so provider called in a weeks supply to local pharmacy. First time I called they said there was a potential drug interaction with another drug and had to clarify that. Then they said doses of both were so low it wasn’t an issue so they will mail the meds. Never came! Second time I called Optum to ask what’s up and they said they didn’t have the correct insurance info and so I gave them that and they said the meds should come in a few days. They never came and I called back again third time and said that was an auto email and that the previous CSR must’ve just not saved the insurance info!! So now I’m waiting for them to send the script to the local pharmacy because we’re out of meds! Unbelievable that they tell you they are in the mail and NEVER call you to tell you there’s a glitch and the meds are actually not coming!

They set up an outsourced call center in Asia and use AI to avoid answering calls and when they do they make up a fake name. The AI voices (theres multiple that randomly change from male to female and theres more than 1 of each gender) ask for patient info and NPI and none of this gets to to an "advocate" They are trying to avoid actually getting any kind of productive customer service to scam medicare holders out of prescription coverage - end of story. I talked to a fake Sam P after going through the AI voiceover nonsense that is pure slop then they send me right back to it because it sent me to medical coverage. Just a sick ploy to rob american tax dollars. Whoever runs optum should be sued by the us govt
