Tried contacting onstar through their site was told I would be talking to a rep. it connected me to a "liveperson bot" that neither answered or addressed any issues. At this point would rather have a 1970s am only radio than onstar or sxm. No customer service and am getting spammed by onstar after opting out over and over again

Rude customer service unhelpful with issues on a 75k truck I expect better service and to be able to use all my features GM aggressively pushes them when you pick up your new truck or car and I can say what a waste of time I wish I could remove it from my truck completely they Also left me a nasty message on my phone not what you expect from a brand that prides itself on customer care My next truck will be a ford get what you pay for rather than a streaming service for a Truck 👎🏻

My mother wanted to cancel her OnStar account. She could not do it from her app on her phone; she had to call them. What I overheard was a woman named Janice or Janet repeatedly ignore my mom's request and TELL my mother she was changing her account to give her a discount. She blatantly ignored my mother's repeated requests to cancel and tried to scare her into keeping the service in case she wrecked someday. The woman refused to allow my mother to give me permission to continue the request to cancel, told my mother she didn't know who was who anymore and then flat out refused to process the request. We are still trying to cancel after an entire day of phone calls....as the service number now hangs up on her when connected.

If I could give 0 stars I would, I called to cancel my plan and it only did the first representative I spoke to not cancel my plan, but she charged me the $43 monthly cost. I had to call back twice after I got notifications about another upcoming charge to make sure the plan was actually cancelled (the second rep told me it was never cancelled even though the call was on the call log) and then to have the charge refunded.

I just wanted to cancel the subscription, and thats it. You can't do that from the app. You have to call them to cancel. That essentially means, they will play passing the parcel game with you between numerous departments. Waste your time and frustrate you so much that you finally hang up the call agitated without accomplishing the cancelation. And the service you get for the price is available with your insurce 1/3rd of the cost

Waited 7 hours for tire change do to flat..good thing I wasn't stranded..I have had OnStar for over 9 years thinking I was safe traveling mostly alone .no I know I'm not .... horrible!!

We recently bought a used Cadillac XT4 which came with 30 days of OnStar free. During this period the OnStar reps repeatedly called to offer us a deal including 2 additional al free months. I told them I did not want to extend as I would have to call to cancel the service before the end of the 2 months. The rep stated they would contact us before the end of the trial and I could choose then. A big lie to get you signed up, no call. I had to call OnStar to cancel, unfortunately was a day past and got charged for a month of service. When cancelling they then conveniently offered a lifetime 20% discount. What a distasteful way to treat customers who spend tens of thousands of dollars on a vehicle, completely tarnished their brand. The really unfortunate part is the service is not very good.

Do not ever give OnStar a credit card number or checking account info. They will start charging you once your prepaid subscription ends. If I had wanted an ongoing subscription I would have not prepaid for a year of limited services. It is not worth my time pursuing them for the $300 but if GM continues to out this in their vehicles, I will switch to a different auto manufacturer.
