After only two wears in an office…
After only two wears in an office environment, the beet red suede stripes on my Onitsuka Tiger sneakers transferred dye onto the ivory leather and suede simply from crossing my feet while sitting. The shoes were never exposed to rain, moisture, or unusual conditions. Onitsuka Tiger denied my warranty claim, stating that this type of color transfer is a "natural characteristic" of the premium suede rather than a manufacturing defect. If you're considering a light-colored pair with dark suede accents, be aware that the shoes may permanently stain themselves—as well as anything else they come into contact with during normal wear—and the company may not consider it a warranty issue.
