I am writing this review to warn potential subscribers about the deceptive behavior of Google’s Gemini Advanced AI. I paid for a subscription specifically to use the video generation features, which have a set daily quota. My experience has been a complete failure of service. The AI is supposed to allow for 3 video generations per day. However, after generating only one usable video, the system locked me out, claiming I had used my entire allowance. When I questioned this in the chat, the AI began to gaslight me. 1. It fabricated a conversation history, claiming I had issued commands (like "continue generating") that I never wrote. 2. It claimed to have generated videos at the start of the session that simply do not exist. 3. When I pointed out that my chat logs proved it was lying, it doubled down and refused to acknowledge the reality of the conversation. It is incredibly disturbing to interact with an AI that "hallucinates" user actions to cover up its own technical failures. It moved the goalposts constantly to justify why it wouldn't provide the service I paid for. To make matters worse, Google Support is non-existent. I received a pathetic, copy-paste template response from the "Google One Team" that completely ignored the issue of the missing generations and the AI’s deceptive behavior. Do not pay for this service. It is not fit for purpose, and when it fails, it will blame you for things you never did.

I signed up as I wanted gemini pro. I was shown a page that indicated that to signup for gemini pro I needed Google One subscription. The service wasn't that bad, other than being disorganized. Things are always changing place, Gemini cannot write as well as ChatGPT and cannot code as well as Claude. I thought that AI studio would help me sign up for claudflare, but it was ...dismal. So 3 or 4 days before my subscription was to renew I cancelled (via a link under my account, in Gemini Pro). 2 days later Google One tried to charge my credit card. That was still 1 day before the advertised renewal date of Google One, and 2 days after I cancelled it. I went back into my account, and everything including Gemini Pro was active once again. We are still 1 day before my advertised renewal date. It took me a long time, along with the dummy gemini PRO to find a 2nd or 'real' cancellation page. I finally did it this way with lots of proofs, to make sure they don't charge me again tomorrow. Luckily I keep my prepaid credit card empty until I need money on it. It kept Google's thieving hands out of my money. Will keep it empty for a few more days. Be careful with Google, maybe they didn't mean to act like scammers, maybe they are just THAT disorganized, but caution is warranted as they won't take NO for an answer when you are ready to quit Google One.

Google one is charging my bank account £24.99 with out any agreement subscription or connection. I have no idea how they get my bank account. They are doing scamming. They refused refund. I hate companies who takes advantages of poor people such as google one.

Avevo e ho ancora un problema sulla condivisione di un album di foto. Mia madre non può vedere più l'album dove ho messo tutte le foto dei suoi nipoti (più di 11mila foto). Servizio clienti totalmente inutile. Scritto mail dettagliate che il problema è solo di uno specifico account e sia con app android che web app da PC. Dopo continuo botta e risposta con descrizioni accurate dell'accaduto (che principalmente è un errore 404 con l'account di mia madre...) il problema non si può risolvere perché il video che ho fatto, su richiesta del customer care, è in italiano... E Google photo non si può mettere in inglese per un baco di Google stessa. Ridicoli...

Ero un abbonato a Google 1 per 200 GB di storage. A un certo punto la sincronizzazione non ha più funzionato. Sono entrato in loop infernale con l'assistenza (pagata con l'abbonamento e lo sbandierano come punto di forza), ho copia di decine di emails. Nessun risultato. A un certo punto ho proposto di entrare nel mio computer con Teamviwer. Non li ho più sentiti. Ho cancellato l'abbonamento di cui rimanevano ancora 9 mesi e ho cercato di avere il rimborso per il periodo non utilizzato. NON SI PUO'.

I'm happy with the great storage Google One gives me and the price is great, but, I am so UNHAPPY and UPSET with their customer service!!! They keep having me update my payment method every single month even though its the same. I have wasted so much time contacting them and speaking to them on the phone, which is a huge pain and rigamarole! The cutomer service agents are also extremely difficult to understand. They need to hire people who speak English clearly. They need to make HUGE improvements in customer service and PLEASE QUIT MAKING ME UPDATE MY PAYMENT METHOD!!

I personally quite like Google One, and think it is fairly priced. Depending on the tier, you not only get increased storage space, but also longer Google Meets. All plans include enhanced Google Account support, so as a Google One member, if you are ever locked out, you can get support from real Google employees.
