I ordered a few of the free templates, order was placed (received email) but never received any instructions on how to download the files. Update - I did finally receive an email on 3 Jan after I contacted customer support. They did advise that the system did not send an email as it was supposed to. They corrected the issue and I received the templates on 3 Jan.

I was extremely impressed with my Omtech 60w and needed more cut area and power so I purchased the 130w 40x63 and I'm happy , other then the air assist didn't work causing the acrylic I was cutting to catch fire and I'm going to have to replace a few part like the belt , laser pointer, auto focus, bearing and focus lens. But I should have checked it before trying to cut. Very well built other then that.

We received our 80-Watt machine well packaged and on schedule. We hope to write a positive review in the near future, but we can't get the laser activated. A couple staff members have read the instructions and watched the tutorials but have been unsuccessful in getting the machine to operate. We can't obtain a laser pulse. So far, attempting to troubleshoot with OMTECH via email has been inefficient and ineffective. We are not giving up just yet and hope to receive support by phone. However, we are not technical people so we should have done more research on our end before purchasing, to better understand the time investment should something go wrong. We will complete this review soon and make it known if the problem is due to user error. Update - We had difficulties reaching tech support. However, after a few days we were connected to a supervisor who walked through several trouble shooting steps. We got the laser operational. Our interaction with him was very positive and worthy of a high rating. We will add to the review after we use the laser for a few projects.

Well from my very first experience, I wouldn’t have rated them as high as I am now because of one reason; the same affiliation of the company is selling the exact same products on Amazon and the first Fiber Engraver ordered failed or had a factory flaw from the start. It was like pulling teeth to get it fixed or replaced once they realized it was bought from their Amazon store. Which they do have a specific coms line for that route of purchase. But if you order it directly from the company, (which is most definitely the way to go, not matter if you have to wait and extra week to get the sales call scheduled and done) you will get far better support and frontline care and service. Long story short, once I returned the Amazon purchase and got the refund I bought the same model which was the 20w Fiber Engraver this time with an upgraded 300mm F-Lens to maximize the engraving area from 4.3inches to 12in by 12in. Well worth the 100$ something dollars. All in all, when ordering directly from the company, or you get direct support service and care from everyone at the company instead of having to go through the Amazon purchase channels, if you were to buy from Amazon and their stores. Long story short I’m very happy with the results of the machine I have. Especially with the 300mm F-Lens.

Bought a 130watt 3555 in August and it was delivered within the timeline OMTECH communicated. Once I aligned the beam, the machine works well. Two weeks ago, one of the lid supports gave out. I contacted customer service and received replacements for both lid supports within a week. I have found that both the customer support and informational videos to be excellent. As with all new machines / applications, there is a bit of a learning curve. OMTECHS support has made the curve less steep for me.

Initially had a problem with the x axis drag chain not being assembled correctly. It would strike the underside of the lid. I fixed it and haven't had any further problems. It has proven to be a reliable machine. I do wish there was a way to control the air assist for different materials though.

I will start by saying that I have had my laser now for three months and still am not producing things. However, some of that is just due to my own lack of time to spend on getting things tuned in. There has been a lot more needed to get the thing working than I had hoped. This is not an out-of-the-box machine. If you are looking for something that is going to be dialed in and ready to go as soon as you unpack it then you either need to go with something with a lot fewer capabilities or with a brand that is three to four times the cost. The support team has been good at getting me answers. Sometimes they are fast and sometimes they are not. All in all, I would say that I have been pleased with my purchase to this point.

Ordered through Amazon.delivery was very quick, was told 6 to 10 days turned up after 5. Very well packed. However when set up it refused to test fire and showed water error 1. Have tried to contact tech support from the website but received no response as yet. Will try Amazon if don’t hear back from soon. Can’t comment on the performance as can’t use. Disappointed that I can’t use it yet.Had a reply from Omtech asking me to email tech support. Did this 3 days ago, no reply as yet. Have sorted the problem out, was fault with my chiller internal plumbing. Tech support have contacted me through Amazon and have been helpful. Now I can use it I can now give report on the performance. Performance is very good. You need to practice with it to get the results, but well worth the wait. Thanks Omtech for your help.
