I have been Working with Customer service for 11 months!!! they cant figure out what's wrong. They want to Replace the laser now but I have to send mine back first and when they receive it they will START the process of getting a new one. Spent Thousands of dollars to buy a laser and start a business and now they want me to shut down my business till they can get me a new laser. Not what i call Customer Service !!!!! Update: 11/18/2022 Omtech realized the importance of running a business with a laser and was willing to work with me on a Schedule for a replacement laser. After working on a schedule, Omtech was able to have the Defective Laser Picked up on a Friday and the replacement laser delivered on Monday. So My Business was only down 3 days. Ometch has been working to Improve customer Service and Support and I think this was a Hugh leap forward Thank You Omtech!

I bought this unit 3 weeks ago and had apprehensions about quality having read some reviews about issues, be it minor, with these lasers. It arrived 1 weeks after I ordered it and it was well packed against any damage. They have upgraded some on the parts in this model such as the fan and vent pipe, which was a major issue in older models. After plugging it up and connecting to my computer I tested the mirror alignment and it was spot on dead center for the #3 mirror and I was running my 1st peices in less than an hour from opening the box.

My first Laser arrived today - 500 x 700 100 Watt auto focus - the machine is really nice. I have had a hectic day but got the test file to work so all looks good. Communication with Omtec has been really good except in one respect which is really my only criticism. The machine was despatched on Wednesday, delivery stated as being 7 to 10 days so it came as something of a surprise when the machine turned up today - i.e. two days later with no communication from the delivery company. It just arrived. Yes I had made some preparations because after all it isn't a box of chocolates that's coming but a bit of notice would have been helpful. Fortunately the weather was fine and it arrived in the morning so I had all day to tussle on with it. However, enough about that. The machine is really good value - and at the end of the day having it delivered and set up by someone else would have been lovely but I chose to hang on to several thousand pounds so it is what it is. I've only had a brief introduction to the Laser but I am excited about what it can do for me and would recommend Omtech to others. It's solidly built, the manual that came with it is fine - forget about those digs about unreadable Chinese - there is nothing wrong with the manual booklet I received. These guys know what they are doing - if you are thinking about a Laser do you homework, compare the options but give Omtech a chance - I'm glad I did.

Ordering process was very easy. It seems as though Omtech has lasers warehouses in several locations. I received my shipping notice the next day and received it 2 days later. The AF -2028-80 has reputation of its own that I can't improve on. If/when in need another laser I'll order from them again

Hardware I received is working well and I was able to get the 55 watt laser up and running in a day. A note should be made that if you are purchasing the CW-5202, both intakes and outakes need to have water running through them to prevent the alarm from sounding. Also, bundling the lightburn software with the laser would be nice.

Very knowledgeable and fast responses to my queries. My K40 arrived in good condition and ready to go.
