Make sure and do your research, National is ok, but there are other schools I should have looked into and paid half of the price. There were a few professors that were very helpful in my journey to become a teacher, but otherwise, I feel that I was not as prepared for the amount of money I spent. I did, however, like the 4-week format, if you did not like a class it would be over within 4 weeks. I have been sent several emails regarding Alumni info, however, when I send an email to get help regarding something to do with my program, I get no answer. There are definitely pros and cons to each program.

This is a great University with wonderful resources. They really take care their of students and they are always trying to set students up for success. Very military friendly, too and the prices are very affordable.

Enjoyed the flexibility of completing my teaching credentials and masters with National University. I was able to keep my full time job while enrolled in NU. I had wonderful professors that taught me not only the course curriculum but applied it to my career which helped me feel more prepared. I completed my student teaching during the pandemic, it was difficult to find districts that would take in student teachers while transitioning to virtual learning, however, NU worked hard on getting us placements without delaying our credential program. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I felt like the weekly Discussion Posts that were required in every course became too repetitive and sometimes not relevant to the course.

I enjoyed the in-person classes and the credential support staff. Although I learned a lot, I do not feel that the credential program prepared me for the classroom. I would have appreciated knowing more on how to scaffold instruction across multiple grades and abilities, IEP preparation and presentation, and simplified data collection.

National University provided me with an excellent education that has allowed me to take my military & educational background into the classroom. I'm a proud alumnus of NU. Thank you, NU, for empowering me to conquer some of my wildest dreams.

Bad customer service. My advisor Noelle Morra made the experience bad. The fact that NU kept her as an employee made the experience being a NU student a nightmare. She was not responsive. Lacked empathy. And provided little to no support.

National University made it possible for me to earn my Bachelors Degree online while I had to work. I was a little discouraged by the numerous changeovers of advisors I had during my educational path there, and the disheartening requirements just to get into a credential program. Sadly, due to the expections, I did not fulfill that goal, but was very glad to be able to change course and still earn my degree. I did have to petition twice though to get it, but the end result has helped me finally get to my dream job of teaching. I’m grateful for that.

I would not recommend this institution to anyone.
