Dear prospective students, RUN!!!!
Honestly, I really regret choosing to attend National. After graduating from community college, I enrolled at National University. They had made me any great financial promises which is why I chose to attend this school. However, after 3 months of attending, I did not receive one of the scholarships I was promised. I called several departments searching to solve (what I believed to be) an issue with the payments system, but was given the run-around. I was constantly told to contact a different person or department. I spoke to finance, scholarships, my advisor, and waited weeks to hear from the office of the register. I even emailed the office of the president. After weeks of bombarding the school with daily emails and phone calls, I was finally called back and told this scholarship was no longer being offered. I had never been notified. And NU’s failure to provide the promised scholarship adds nearly $5,000 on to my tuition which I am paying for on my own at 20 years old. At this moment, I’m hoping to raise enough issue with NU that they choose to honor the scholarship. I’ve even been forced to get a parent involved as I feel this school is not taking me seriously. If they don’t decide to uphold their promises, my options are limited. If you’re a prospective student, do not go to this school. Save yourself from the lies and empty promises. No faculty member at this school seems to care about the students. They just want your money
