Where do I begin. DON’T TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!! I’ll start there. Paid deposit, movers did not show. The guy I originally spoke with, Alex Connor, would not respond to texts, emails, or calls. After they didn’t show, the next day, I got a text saying the movers would be at my place between 11-12. When I responded, do not come I have cancelled move, they responded, sorry wrong number. Very shady people and company!!! If I could give a O score I would.

Great initial contact by and agreement made with Mark Edwards. As a military family, we prefer to support military owned companies. Had regular communication up to scheduled move date. Then started the issues. Be warned and beware...this is bait and switch at its finest...never is it disclosed that the move would be subbed out and that Next Stop is a broker! Our "mover" showed up outside of agreed time frame and tried to start the clock an hour before he even pulled up! He cash-hired a helper off Craig's list that morning (who ended up being a nice guy and an absolute workhorse who did almost all the lifting and carrying by himself!). The driver was rude, argumentative, and completely unhinged at times, screaming at the other worker, ranting in Arabic, and completely upsetting and scaring my family. He threatened to offload what had been loaded and refused to take some listed items, yet loaded some that weren't. Agreement was for padded wrapping (the only thing used was moving blankets and not on everything), disassembly (we did that) and reassembly (we did that). Driver refused to leave for location until balance of $500 was paid (our agreed upon price from Mark was $900 total- was a 20 mile local move). Driver stopped at convenience store for 15 minutes en route. Upon arrival to location, he then refused to unlock and offload until another $600 was paid, claiming time would go over contract - he demanded another 3 hours worth paid time. Multiple phone messages and texts to Mark and the company itself went unanswered all day. Received a single text the next day from Mark saying he would have someone reach out. When I requested that it be he, I heard nothing else, but received an email that stated who the moving line would be, and that they would be held to Next Stop standards... this TWO days after the move took place. Nope, just nope. To all of it. BBB complaint filed.

Angel is my contract writer. He is very kind and made the whole process so easy. Walked me through everything. Was very accommodating in my rushed move. Looking forward to the move in a week. I'm sure all will go well

⭐ 1 Star – Beware of Deposit Practices and Bait-and-Switch Pricing BEWARE: If you pay a deposit through this company, carefully review how the payment is processed. When I disputed my deposit through PayPal, I learned the payment had been processed as a "gift," which significantly limited my buyer protections. I contacted Next Stop Relocation for a long-distance move and specifically explained that I needed the FULL cost upfront so I could properly budget for my move. During my consultation with Mark, I provided detailed information about every item I needed moved, including a king-size bed, twin trundle bed, three-piece sectional, L-shaped desk, dresser, nightstands, bookshelf, bins, plants, and other household items. I was quoted approximately $2,300 total and was told this covered the move. I paid an $800 deposit based on those representations. The remaining balance was to be split between pickup and delivery. On moving day, the movers arrived approximately one hour late. After assessing the exact items that had already been disclosed and itemized during the booking process, I was informed that my price would suddenly increase to approximately $5,300 because they claimed I had significantly more cubic footage than originally estimated. Nothing substantial had changed from the inventory I originally provided. The same furniture and household items that were disclosed during booking were now being used to justify more than doubling the quoted price. When I contacted the company to express concerns about what appeared to be a bait-and-switch pricing tactic, I was told that because I declined the dramatically increased price, I had "refused service" and therefore would not receive my deposit back. As a result, I have filed complaints and disputes while simultaneously trying to secure another moving company during an urgent relocation. My experience was that the quoted price did not reflect the actual amount demanded on moving day, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to obtain detailed written documentation regarding cubic footage calculations, final pricing, cancellation terms, and deposit handling before making any payment.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Do not use this company. You’d be better off carrying your furniture yourself.. it is a bait and switch company. You think you’re hiring this company to move your belongings, but what they do is outsource to other companies. That are not veteran owned and barely speak English, no offense to anybody. I had a quote and they brought a truck that wasn’t big enough even after I told him just about every item that needed to be moved so unfortunately, some of my belongings were left behind. Also, because they didn’t have certain things listed that I told them they held my furniture hostage until I paid additional money I was told they would show up between 8 AM and 11 AM then around noon I was told they would be there about 1 PM well 1 PM came and went and still nothing. No one showed up then I get another call stating that they’ll be there by 4 o’clock so finally they show up a little after 4:30. Now mind you when they brought my belongings to my new house they didn’t leave until almost 3 o’clock in the morning. And you tell them where to put something and they just put it in the wrong place so now I had to move stuff around after paying them such a high amount of money I’ve had to move things myself. I will be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and I will take them to Small Claims Court if necessary to recoup some of my funds Again stay away from this company. They are not who they say they are. I come from a military family. I worked with the VA for over 13 years. My family does everything we can to support veteran However, this company claims owned and operated by veterans however, they send the worst company to move your belongings. They don’t actually do it themselves. So I had some company that I did not give any authorization to touch myself, but I had no And there is nowhere in the companies website, Facebook page communication that states anything about the work being outsourced to a different company So that’s a bait and switch to me. They should be ashamed of themselves, canning people at their hard earned money just to move It’s embarrassing, knowing how much money I spend and what they put me through But they wouldn’t take myself off the truck or allow me to take it off the truck until I paid them so much more money And I have it all on video So I guess I’ll see them in court but please don’t use this company

Quote of $7800 went to just shy of $15k! Actual persons who loaded our belongings used our packing materials and left trash all over. Items that were not to be loaded on to the truck were loaded and items that were to have been on the truck had to be left behind due to not having a large enough truck. We advised the size of our home and that a semi would be needed but that was ignored. We still have another truck load to move and we will NOT be using this company nor recommending them. We have made numerous calls and emailed the "secondary" broker that was involved to file a claim for all of the broken items and for the marks on the walls in our new home but still no response. We directly asked if Next Stop Relocation was a broker; we were advised that they were not. They brokered our move to another company in New Jersey who then gave the move to the actual person who did the move. Both Next Stop and Fair Rate were rude when questioned about anything. Fair Rate even threatened to tell the movers to start unloading the truck if we didn't send them $6600 more, giving us only 40 minutes to go to the bank to Zelle the funds. When the unloading of the truck at our new home was almost complete, one of the workers demanded a tip from us for the work he had done. NEVER have we experienced such unprofessional service. We were trying to support the Veteran Owned company - will not make that mistake again.

Do NOT HIRE THEM. Warning. They will rip you off. They stole $13,000. They never did any work for us!!! They refuse to return phone calls or return our money.
