I had a very similar experience to other reviews here: I placed an order for a part the website said was in stock, and then every day the shipping date was pushed back one day. For over two weeks. It's obvious they never had the part in stock to begin with. I contacted customer support, who said they would cancel the order. A week later (3 weeks since the original order) it still had not been cancelled, so I called again; now suddenly the item is "non-cancellable, non-returnable" even though it never said that (and still doesn't) anywhere on the website, the order confirmation or the invoice. Needless to say, it still hasn't shipped either. Newark is a dishonest, garbage company.

such bad and cheating service about ETA
I placed ONE backorder 701986 last November with Sales Sandeep, then he gave me the ETA on the order confirmation on 11/15/2021 as 7/1/2022, actually, I think the ETA is reasonable. then, several days later, I called Newark customer service team online about some other backorders I placed, and I was surprisingly told, the ETA of order 701986 is changed to 1/3/2023, then I emailed Sandeep about the changing of ETA, but did not get any answer, so I contacted the local tech support of Newark Derek Ralston who is introduced by Avnet Sales rep. to me, then Derek told me to email Newark customer service to get the updated ETA, so I did it and got the answer from Nadeem on 11/22/2021, he informed us in the email, ETA is the first week of Jan. 2022. so, our production line was waiting for this part until the beginning of January, but no shipment at all. So, I called customer service, and a lady told me she would ask Nadeem to call me back, but I didn't get any callback. and, at the same time, our sales manager also called Customer Service and requested an assigned local sales rep. to our company. He was told someone would email him about it in 24 hours but we didn't get any emails about it at all for 3 weeks until now. and on 1/6/2022, I emailed the Customer Service team again about the ETA. Noor answered my email on 1/13/2022 and informed me ETA is end of January 2022. so this Monday 1/24/2022, I called Customer service again to confirm if the parts would be shipped out as I was told so, and the guy named Mohamed Haroon answered my phone call and firmly told me ETA is 1/3/2023, and he couldn't see any possibility of the shipment on January 2022. so I had to email customer service again on the same day about the inconsistency of the ETA, and Renu replied to my email this morning and said the ETA is 7/1/2022, exactly the same date as what is listed on my order confirmation of 11/15/2021. I emailed her back and expressed my disappointment, then 4 hours later, Renu emailed me back again and said the ETA is not available.
WOW, such a funny and ridiculous story. from last November to now, the ETA for this order swung 6 times back and forth from 7/1/2022 to 1/3/2023, then to the first week of January 2022, then to last week of January 2022, then back to 7/1/2022, then to unknown between different teams and different Newark person. I know the ETA is possible to change, but it is obvious that ETA can also be changed among Newark different teams and different persons.

deceptive business practices
When other sites are all out of stock of an item there site will still show in-stock (ready to ship), but it actually is NOT. It is a scam to get you to order. They just try to get you to buy and then tell you its not actually in stock. I went to order from them, it said 10 in stock ready to ship. I ordered. then it changed right away to "Available for back order" and they told me they didn't actually have it when I contacted them. This website is a scam, do not order from them.

Sent me the wrong part
Sent me the wrong part, called and was transfered to someone in Mexico even though I am in the US, they barely spoke english. Told to send an email to customer service, I did and 3 days later they just tell me the warehouse sent the correct part. Will never order from here again, would give negative stars if possible.

Newark deserves -10000 stars!!
It's a pity I cannot give Newark negative stars. I have been a customer of Newark my entire life, since I was a kid in Chicago making radios. I can honestly say over the last 10 years, they keep getting worse every time I buy from them. Like an idiot, I don't learn my lesson.
Long story short, placed an order online (over $7000) for hardware that was showing in stock and available to ship the same day on Thursday 06 Jan before 8PM CST. Because time was of the essence, I paid for OVERNIGHT shipping I ordered at 1PM. It is now a week, no update in my account history and I have wasted well over 9 hours on the phone, live chat and email waiting for an answer to when my order will ship. Got lots of nonsense, and one person assured me this would be fixed within the hour on Monday. It's Wednesday, and nothing, and nobody seems to care. All I can say is they are terrible.

Usless Customer Support
I placed a large order on their website. As soon as I submitted the order, I relized I made a large mistake. I called Customer Service right away and they told me it was in picking status already and they could do nothing. The order was placed less then 5 minutes before. I understand it was my mistake, but whats the purpose of customer support? I will have to wait till I recieve the order then return the unneeded items. Shame, I wont be using them again.

Overcharges very often?
Ordered twice, price listed on website history differs from amount deducted from Credit Card, also different Import documents on both times, unbelievable.
Basically paid more then the stated amount. Looking at the reviews this doesn't seem to be the first time.
Good thing we have all the screenshots and documents to prove it
Here are the 2 cases
①P.O 9/13/21 17.45P
Order confirmation No: 420601
Order on website total : USD29.95
was charged USD60.60
②P.O 10/21/2115.10
Order confirmation No: 605805
Order on website total : USD52.00
was charged USD79.75

They really are as bad at customer…
They really are as bad at customer (no)service as all the negative reviews indicate. Seriously, if you can get your part from ANY other vendor, you will be doing yourself a favor. Their system screwed up my shipping address and my order went off into space. I tried for 11 days to get anyone at Newark on the phone, email, smoke signal, HF radio, psychic link, tin and and string, ANYTHING. Nada. I finally got someone on the live chat today and they told me to sod off, don't call them, they will call me. You guessed it, within 48 hours. I started this ordeal as soon as the confirmation hit my email and I noticed the undeliverable shipping address. I gave them PLENTY of time to fix the issue BEFORE it shipped. But, someone there would have to be reading email or answering the phone for that to have stopped their error. No chance of that.
At this point, it's a write off. You should write off Newark too.
UPDATE 4 January 2022:
7 days after my last contact (didn’t they assure me resolution in 48 hours the last time they brushed me off?) I get two calls from their 800 number that sounded for all the world like pocket dials. I could hear people talking in the background, keyboards, call center type sounds, indistict speech. I tried to get the caller’s attention both times, but no one responded to me. At the time, I didn’t realize it was Newark as I was in my car.
Then I get back and check email. Oh, we tried to call you this morning but could not get through… Will try again latter… Of course, there is no call back number, or direct phone number to the person that, I’m sure, wasn’t just trying to put a “contact attempt” note in their ticket. So, I redial the 800 number they called from, immediate IVR telling me I can talk to a real live human being right now… for sales. For anything else, send email to the address that actively avoids interacting with you.
So, do you think they will contact me “latter today”? Yeah, I don’t think so either.
Update: Jan 7th
Well, they finally reversed the charges on my card and the money was returned to my account. So, they did follow through on that, eventually. The whole ordeal cost me more in time than the order did. I will not be using Newark for anything again. While I credit them for ultimately returning my money, my project has been delayed while I source the parts I originally needed to continue. Take it for what it is worth, but a vendor like that isn’t dong me any favors. It was, literally, the bare minimum they could have done, and then only after this review and a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
