My experience has been overall positive. Appointment number one is with a Nurse Practitioner. Basically an overview of your health history and what are your goals/reason for coming to Nava. Then a blood draw, followed by a follow up appointment with a Physician. He made some recommendations for supplements. Next, I had an appointment with a nutritionist, which was probably the most useful appointment of all so far. He recommended quite a few supplements and a diet detox. I must say that after following it, I do feel much better. Things to be aware of: You have to pay at least $39 per month depending upon the membership level you select. This is a membership-based treatment facility, so you can't receive treatment unless you pay this fee. This is offset slightly by a monthly "credit" to your account, which can be used for a variety of services (though not on supplements, which would have been nice). Appointment scheduling must be done over the phone. This is really annoying! I spent over 20 minutes on the phone trying to schedule a massage as I waited for the person to find a time that was not only available, but would actually fit into my schedule. Please please please work to get an online booking system implemented! You can pick up supplements in the center, as long as they are carried there. It will save you on shipping.

The doctors are all just so great to work with. I’ve had nothing but great experiences at Nava, but now that I live on the eastern shore, none of your locations are convenient for me. Would LOVE to see a location open in Kent Island or Annapolis!!! The IV injections and massages are pure therapy for me, but unfortunately your current locations are just too far for me now. Please open in Annapolis!

I spent a lot of out of pocket money for a blood panel and food sensitivity test that recommended a number of other services that will cost me more out of pocket money. If you can afford boutique healthcare, this might work for you. I feel like I've spent enough money already and haven't even started any treatments.

All of the staff was very informative and very nice. I just started going to the center so I started at the Bethesda office first but transferred to the Fairfax office and I got to applaud Nava for their staff. Very nice and helpful. It makes me excited about my health. Thank you for the experience!!

When I came to NAVA I had really no idea what to expect. I walked in the door with two issues I was hoping they could help me address: #1: I am in a lot of pain and I need it to go away #2: I need to lose a lot of weight I had heard alllllll about the so called quick fix injection drug called Ozempic or semaglutide, and I knew NAVA had it. In my mind, I finally found a quick and easy way to lose some serious pounds and hopefully without serious sacrifices. You see, I am terminally lazy, so sacrifice and hard work were not appealing concepts to me. On my phone call with the rep who signed me up, I was flooded with information. I quickly realized this was not just a jab in the stomach and off I go, this is a whole new way of life, and was I ready for that? The answer is yes. I was so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. I was sick of myself and my way of life and my pain. I have been on many weight loss journeys, but they never went anywhere, and when they did, it all came back again. It was a mental torture, and nothing worked for me. I walked into NAVA of Ashburn and was impressed by the very clean, peaceful and beautiful office. The people behind the desk were friendly and helpful. So far so good. Then Narayana came out to get me from the waiting room, and said we were going to have a chat about me. How I feel, what I eat, what I want, what my goals are, what type of activities do I enjoy. Narayana was so real and friendly, I felt like I was speaking to a friend. I found myself opening up in complete honesty. (Because if you don't come with complete honesty on this journey, you will only be hurting yourself.) We chatted for about 45 minutes and I swear I left feeling like I just had a great therapy session. Next they did my blood work. I was very excited for this portion of NAVA's procedures. Before you can even start on the semaglutide (which is all I could think about, like let's hurry up, let's go) they do a full blood panel and check all of your levels. What we discovered is that my hormones were not balanced, my thyroid was not functioning properly, my uric acid was way high, and I am severely allergic to gluten and a protein called Casein that is found in all dairy. Here in black and white were the reasons why when I get out of bed I felt like I am 100 years old. All of my joints hurt, my bones hurt, my everything hurt. I have also struggled with muscle spasms and twitches for a decade, as well as brain fog and a red rash on my face and arms. I have been to my GP many times with these complaints, as well as a neurologist, because I was convinced with these symptoms I had MS. Instead, I was diagnosed with Gout (which I don't have) and offered pain meds for that. No one thought to check me for food allergies which might be causing this horrible inflammation which is a huge factor in all the pain I was in. Not until NAVA did I find out about my hormones or my thyroid. I was blown away. The next thing I found out was that I would have access to a Nutritionist for 16 session. I turned my nose up at that. Because obviously I am so great at choosing nutritious and beneficial foods for myself!! I asked if it was required...if I "had" to. I didn't need some hippie telling me to cut back on the booze and tell me to eat my veggies. I was somewhat annoyed by this. Then here comes Vanessa, my NAVA nutritionist. I quickly discovered I knew next to nothing about nutrition, what my body needs, or how important nutritionists actually are, especially in situations like mine. She has been the first person in my whole life who has been able to explain to me WHY certain foods have certain effects on our bodies, why it's so very important for me to cut out this and why, or to add this and why. She made me understand how what I am putting into my mouth is directly associated with how I am feeling. She made me understand what "inflammation" actually is, and how dangerous it is. With her help, support and encouragement I have pretty much gone from a lazy alcoholic garbage eater to giving up gluten, dairy, soy, caffeine, and ALCOHOL. I was a daily drinker, until she helped me understand the correlation between alcohol, my uric acid, and my joint pain. I lost 15lbs in my first month, but I don't believe it's because of the semaglutide, because I have still been eating 3 nutritious meals per day and also snacks. At best this drug might just take the edge off my hunger, to give me the helping hand I needed to make such drastic changes. And as I type this on my 1 month mark, I no longer have any joint pain. Nothing hurts when I stand up or move. I have energy to actually work out. I am sleeping better than I have in years and years. All thanks to NAVA, and all thanks to Vanessa, who gave me the help I so desperately needed to take back control of my health and my life. I am so excited to see where I go from here! THANK YOU NAVA, and THANK YOU, Vanessa. You might have saved my life.

I've been going to Nava since October 2022 and I can't say enough wonderful things about this practice. Meeting with Dr. Wills and Nour, my nutritionist, helped me plan major surgery and lifestyle moves towards less invasive and more custom health plans. And Reaford, my health coach, always goes above and beyond with everything from scheduling to recommendations, answering all sorts of program and membership questions for me. Jennifer, Iman, Rose - all of them are just an amazing crew all around! With the support of the team, I feel like I am an active participant in my health planning and I'm not rushed to make any decisions. To this day, I've never had a rushed appointment and in the DMV, that's RARE. Every time we meet, there's a genuine interest in me, my health, my progress, where I want to be. I need that kind of environment to feel good and motivated to change my life so that I can be healthier and I'm so glad that this environment is available to me at Nava. I've referred several friends so far and I will continue to!
