I like the concept and when it works it’s pretty decent. I’ve been having issues with it not recording workouts and trying to get hold of customer service has been a nightmare. I just seem to get a chat bot throwing articles at me with no relevance to my issue. It’s turning out to be more hassle than it’s worth having to try and contact customer support to have MEPs added every time I work out! Is there any way to actually speak to someone? Pretty poor experience so far.

MyZone is great when it works, but it's buggy
The MyZone concept is great! It gamifies exercise and genuinely makes you want to move more which is a great thing.
The app it is well thought out and I love the group workout live feeds. I do Blaze at David Lloyd and the MyZone belt is essential kit to get the most out of these sessions.
My issue is with the hardware. I have the MyZone Switch and in two years, I have have to had a replacement unit, I have had to buy two belts and I have had one belt sent out under warranty.
The MyZone support team are AMAZING! You talk to real people and they really want to get your issue resolved quickly. But, for £100 plus to the kit, I expect the device to perform better.
Issues I have had include:
- The belt does not connect in chest strap mode
- The belt dose not broadcast so there are gaps in workouts
- The belt initially shipped was known to be faulty, so a new generation belt was sent under warranty.
Please fix these issues because I love your product and your company and I want you to be successful!

Hi Neil,
We appreciate your thoughtful response. So glad to hear you enjoy the app, the community-centered structure, and the interactions with our Support team.
We have and are continuing to improve upon the MZ-Switch from both a hardware and software standpoint so that we can provide the highest quality. We completely understand your frustration over the two years, and we appreciate you allowing us to find solutions for the issues that have come up.
I see that you are currently being set up with a replacement chest strap as we speak. Thank you again for getting in touch and we hope that you have a much better experience moving forward. Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist with.
Best wishes,
Team Myzone

Great concept and is amazing when it works but I have a few issues.
Great concept and is amazing when it works but I have a few issues.
1. The battery life isn’t as accurate as i was advertised - mine last 6-8 weeks between charges.
2. The chest strap life expectancy isn’t great at all and far less than advertised.
For context: Only had mine about 4 months and I’ve recharged my device twice since and not including the first charge up when it was fresh out the box and it’s currently got about 1/4 battery left, and the chest strap now needs washing every 2-3 uses. I don’t have time for that!
3. Because of the chest strap issues I keep on dipping into light grey when I’m working my ass off, it is so frustrating then not accumulating the points because it can’t pick up your heart rate.
I’m unsure about using the other strap options as I was told the chest strap is most accurate.

Frustrated Myzone user
I have been a Myzone user for over 4 years and when it's working it's a fantastic device BUT........
I am currently experiencing issues with both of my belts. I've reached out to support using an email address that I've used previously but received a response saying that this email is no longer supported. This feels like a deliberate move by Myzone to make it make it harder for customers to contact them.
I tried reading through your numerous FAQs but none answered my question and the chatbot just churns out the same answers to almost every question.
Myzone support is currently providing a really poor customer experience.
Until recently, I was using my MZ-Switch but it kept 'dropping off' during sessions (belt has been cleaned and chip is fully charged) . Sometimes my heart rate would show on the screen at the start of the warm-up but would stay really low throughout the warm-up; on other occasions the reading would fall significantly during intense activity e.g. during a recent sprint when I was pushing towards the 'red zone', the reading suddenly started to fall from 85% down to between 50% - 60% before jumping back up to the red zone! As a result, I lost confidence in the device.
I therefore switched back to my original Myzone MZ-3 device but it seems to be recording low readings particularly during warm-ups and lower intense activities. In a recent session, I stayed in the grey and blue zones throughout the 'warm-up' until the last 20 seconds when it suddenly jumped to mid yellow!!
Also during the strength element of the Blaze session, it stayed in the blue zone throughout and then during combat, I was in the blue and green zones for the majority of the session despite almost being on my knees!!
I would really appreciate support in trying to determine what the issues are and how we can resolve them as it's currently detracting from my Myzone experience

Hi Gareth,
Thank you so much for sharing us your experience. I'm very sorry to hear both of your belts are not working well for you and that you've had trouble getting in touch with us. From our Help Centre (which you can reach via HELP in your app or myzonesupport.zendesk.com), there is a red icon that says "Help" on the bottom right. When you click this, a "Get in touch" icon appears after about 3 seconds, which, when clicked, will offer the option to start a live chat during business hours or leave us a message to be replied over email.
We have followed up via Trustpilot to see if we can get your contact details but if you see this reply first, please do try and reach us through our Support portal as this is the most direct means of contacting us.
We look forward to resolving your issue for you!
Best wishes,

Some products good; others not so
After using MyZone products for more than 7 years, I have mixed reviews. Back in 2016, I was gifted an MZ-3 when I joined a new gym and decided to use it regularly. After a while, I was addicted, and I have rarely worked out without it. The MZ-3 is a workhorse and can take a beating. I am still using the same device I got in 2016. It holds a charge for several weeks, always connects to my iPhone, and provides accurate data. Based on that, myself and three other workout pals each purchased the newer MZ-Switch. In this case, we were disappointed. The marketing says the Switch can go for 3-6 months on a single charge, but this is far from the truth. If they meant to say that you would have to replace the battery every 3-6 months, that would be more accurate. Our devices are not even one year old yet, and we already have to charge them between each workout. On top of that, connecting to the phone app is hit or miss. Sometimes, even on a full charge, the device won’t connect, and I have to miss tracking my effort for that workout. Same for my other three workout pals. In short, don’t buy the Switch, but do buy the older MZ-3 if you want a solid HRM.

Hi Joshua,
Thank you very much for sharing your experience. We've reached out to gather more information over TrustPilot as there are a few solutions we can offer for the issues you're describing with your MZ-Switch, including a full warranty replacement since you've mentioned they are less than one year old.
We're so sorry for the trouble and look forward to rectifying the situation for you.
Best wishes,

Great product, just one issue
I like the product itself to help me stay on track with my fitness goals and assess how much effort I put into my workouts. I’ve only used it a handful of times so far and it seems pretty accurate in terms of how much effort I put into my workouts etc. It has been helpful and easy to use.
The only issue I’ve noticed as of recently is that it keeps splitting up my workouts. For example if I do a 1 hour workout it will show on the app as two workouts of 30 minutes? I dislike this as it gives me two different sets of statistics so the averages are not accurate. This is quite disappointing, my partner also has the same issue with their myzone belt. For this reason I give 3 stars as it almost ruins the whole point of us using the product.

Hello!
Thank you for reaching out about this, and we're sorry to hear about your split workouts. Luckily, this is avoidable and we actually have a help guide for this very issue! Please see the article below (especially option 2 or 4) and contact our Support team if you have questions. We can be reached via "HELP" in your mobile app menu or our website myzone.org > contact > support portal.

Though I'm happy with the concept of this belt, the old model was better and keeping track of my workout. The new model will go from yellow to gray for no apparent reason to me, as my workouts are strenuous. It is not consistent. My battery is at 55%.
