Lots of information given
Lots of information given, but mostly generic.
How does one deal with environmental sensitivity to spruce trees when one lives in a spruce forest? No advice offered.
Response from My Pet SensitivityOct 8, 2024
Hi,
It sounds like you’re seeking guidance on managing environmental sensitivities, especially in a spruce forest setting. Unfortunately, many resources provide general information without specific strategies for unique situations like yours.
To manage environmental sensitivities effectively, you might consider the following approaches:
1. **Create a Buffer Zone**: If possible, plant non-sensitizing vegetation around your living area to help filter out some allergens.
2. **Indoor Air Quality**: Use HEPA filters in your home to help remove airborne particles and allergens. Regular cleaning can also minimize exposure.
3. **Limit Outdoor Exposure**: During high pollen seasons, try to stay indoors, especially during windy days when pollen is dispersed more widely.
If you're looking for more tailored strategies or professional guidance, consider reaching out to a local allergist or an environmental health specialist who can provide more specific advice based on your living situation.

It made sense
My cat has had diarrhea for months. She's been to the vet several times and all her labwork is perfect. The vet told me to put her on sensitive food before going further. When I got her results, I made a chart of things she was sensitive to and the 7 or so brands or formulas she has eaten. One brand had 12 to 13 of the things she was sensitive to, including all the things she was highly sensitive to. All other brands but one had about 3, and one or less of the highly reactive ones. Coincidentally, I started feeding this brand a few weeks before she presented symptoms. I switched to their sensitive formula to no avail. Then an expensive prescription gi diet and it didn't resolve the issue. Reading the label, it has 3 of the things she showed *high reactivity to in the first few ingredients. I bought her a cheap, common brand bag of food at the grocery store from a brand she had years ago because I ran out of food and she stopped having diarrhea. That brand had 0 high level reactive and only 3 of the somewhat reactive ingredients. The correlation seems too large to be a mere coincidence. I mean, she started eating it right before she got sick and it checked off nearly all the boxes, then is ok with cheaper supposedly less quality (but simpler) food.

Hi,
Thank you for sharing your experience regarding your cat's ongoing diarrhoea and the food sensitivity test results. It seems like you've conducted a thorough analysis of her diet and its impact on her health. The correlation you noted between the specific brand of food and her symptoms could be significant, especially since it included several ingredients she tested highly reactive to.
When pets experience gastrointestinal issues, it's essential to scrutinize their diet and ingredient sensitivities, as they can often be the source of discomfort. Your observation about the cheaper brand resolving her diarrhoea is encouraging, suggesting that sometimes simpler formulations without known allergens can be more beneficial.
If you continue to have concerns or need more targeted advice, consulting with a veterinary nutritionist may provide additional insights tailored to your cat's specific dietary needs.
If you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out!

Test was easy to take and results came…
Test was easy to take and results came back quickly. It is hard to say anything about it until I have aliminated the things she is sensitive to gradually. I stopped the meat mentioned strait away, which turned her into miss grumpy pants instead of miss not quite so itchy pants! So guess that's a start 😉😉

Hi,
It sounds like you had a smooth experience with the test, and it's great to hear that the results arrived quickly! It's understandable that it might take some time to assess the impact of eliminating the sensitive items from your pet's diet. Adjusting to dietary changes can sometimes lead to temporary mood shifts, as pets may react differently during the transition.
If you have any specific concerns or need further assistance during this elimination process, please feel free to reach out. We're here to help!

Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money. My dog is apparently sensitive to cheese, not just any cheese, but swiss. Also egg white, not just any egg white, but quail and also lobster which I doubt you'd find in anything he's eaten since birth. I used this service as we're having problems at the moment and thought this might help guide us with his diet but I just feel completely exploited.
