I was told by 2 different people that the installation would take 1 hour, instead it took 2 and I was late to work. Also, the long amounts of time I have to spend on hold in order speak with anyone is INSANE. Staff is very friendly though.

The Arden location should be shut down
The Arden location should be shut down! First off,DAKOTA S. , with the greasy long hair, told my wife and I that he doesn't get paid to give a fu*k about his customers , while complaining about other customers to us,very unprofessional ! Dakota also removed my machine yesterday and only installed 4 out of the 8 screws under my dash , then threw the other 4 in his desk trash can right in front of me . While I was on my way home I need a rattle under my steering wheel where he had been working , and when I got home I inspected his work to find the metal plate wasn't even screwed tight and was rattling , and two screws gone , plus the plastic cover over the metal plate was missing screws ... I told my wife I bet those screws we seen him toss were mine , so we drove back to arden monitec this morning and low and behold the screws were still in his trash can . He could only say I'm sorry sir , I'm so sorry sir ! This is totally unacceptable for any business , and I will be filing appropriate complaints with consumers protection !
Those machines do not read accurate , there is 30+ things besides alcohol that will give the customer a false fail , soda , yeast from bread , albuterol inhaler , smoking cigarettes , so many things it's not fair. I had to change my whole life for three years to get my time completed .
I hope the right person reads this and takes action to improve the monitec system and no good employees from ARDEN !

They are terrible
They are terrible. I set up an installation for Saturday at the Matthews, N.C. location at 1pm. Arrived on time and the location stated it was closed. Called customer service and the proceeded to figure out what happened. The initial appointment was made at a different location and I was given the wrong address.
They proceeded to set up an appointment at the other location in Charlotte at 3pm. The trip to Charlotte is 45 mins away so I drove to the location. I arrived at 2:45pm the location also had the closed sign at their door. Again I called customer service and though they set up an appointment for 3pm they did not inform the technician about it.
The same technician who was originally supposed to do the installation at 1pm waited for me and once he realized I was not coming he took a service call and would not be coming back to the location. So I have now driven 2 hours to 2 different locations and still not had any service done. The customer service person showed no compassion or sympathy and simply stated we could get you another appointment set and they “original person should have told you that Matthews is only open on Monday.”
Excuse me,
1. Your hours are not shown online for your locations.
2. You do not send out confirmation emails for your appointments
3. If your business model is service based and yet you don’t have communication between your customer service and your installers how do you run a business.
I will not have service with this company and the only correspondence that I have received with this company is this survey.

I have called 6 times today to get override code and after 30 minutes it goes to a voicemail for them to call you back. My machine says violation code is 5038. Violation code 5038 is for a alcohol violation. I haven’t drank any alcohol since machine was installed in August 2018. Have had to pay multiple fees to get overide code for this same code. Also had to have my interlock device changed out in February b/c of faulty device per tech. New device has been installed since February and have had 2 5038 codes that I have had to get overide codes for a week after install. Had device go off 3days in a row this week. Have tried multiple times to get in touch with Monitech to get overide code this week and after holding for close to a hour each time I’ve hung up. My vehicle is in permanent lock out right now and am currently on hold for the 6th time today to get override code. I don’t know who run this place but it’s a joke and can’t wait to get this damn machine out of my vehicle in august.

Anyone thinking about a class action lawsuits.
I have been on the phone, on hold for 1 hr 56 min and 57 seconds. Keep getting fails and warnings, now I get a code 5038 service recall, that I will be charged for, due to your faulty equipment, but it's ok because I can just pay forty five dollars over the phone and they'll reset it. Do you all understand the meaning of a class action lawsuits, against you and the North Carolina department of motor vehicles, for letting you continue to practice in this manner. Some of us on here need to form up, and put you ALL behind the judicial eight ball. STARTING WITH Lifesaver holdings and the North Carolina DMV. Those in agreement, call me at 7046078589, I'll put you in touch with my attorney. ( Note to monitech: no canned response needed.) I am still able to comply with my judicial demands by going to smart start, ignition interlock.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
I have attempted to call this company several times, and have been on hold for over an hour each time. This is non-existent customer service. As a paying customer, we deserve better than these rude people who don't ever answer a call. People have issues that need to be resolved asap, not whenever someone feels like answering a phone call from a customer. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

We apologize for the long wait times when trying to reach us as we improve our processes. We will be reaching out shortly to see if there is anything we can assist with at this time.

If there was an option to not give a star I would. I’ve been on hold with your customer service line for currently 1:16:35 yes one hour sixteen minutes thirty five seconds and counting.... not sure you can even call this customer service. I understand the number may be unusually busy in the evenings but we have tried to call several times the last few days only to encounter the same issue. As a paying customer I also feel you the service provider should handle calls in a timely manner. I don’t believe holding for more than an hour would be acceptable to you if you were in my shoes. As much money as your company generates from its services you would think you could have a decent customer service department!

We truly apologize for the long wait times while we make improvements and understand how frustrating that can be. Someone from our team will be reaching out to see if there's anything we can help with at this point in time.

Non-existent Customer Service
I have been with them for months. The tech is amazing but the company is terrible for customer service. People need responses quickly. These devices are detrimental to the arrival and departure for work, childcare, emergencies etc. How can you have a 24hr/7day emergency line that has you hold over an hour consistently? I have reported to the BBB and encourage others to do so also. If you have this device it is to monitor you not control your vehicle use if you are not consuming alcohol. I no longer drink and still have issues with the device. Codes that they try to make you pay for even though they say its a software problem. This is unacceptable.
